How to quickly find an ant nest at home?

Ant nests are underground nests where ants live. They consist of a series of interconnected underground chambers connected to the ground through passages. The underground chambers include nurseries, food storage rooms, mating rooms, etc. Ant nests are built and maintained by worker ants, who carry small particles of dirt from the nest to the exit, forming the common "mud pile" of ant nests. Warm and moist soil is their favorite, which is firm, safe and comfortable. Roads extend in all directions. There are other places to store food, which are ventilated and cool. Warm in winter and cool in summer.

How to find an ant nest?

1. Take some food, such as a piece of candy or a grain of rice, and put it on the ground for the ants to move. When you find an ant appear, follow the ant to see where it crawls to, and then you will know where the ant hole is.

2. Look for wood chips. This could be a sign of ants. These chips are often found in homes that use a lot of wood.

3. Look for places with moisture. In addition to food, ants need water to survive. In your home, ants may also live in the nooks and crannies of the bathroom, so pay close attention to this area to find them.

After finding the ant hole, use soft soap to rub back and forth a few times to block the hole, or use candle wax or other glue to block it. This is a permanent solution and environmentally friendly. Burn egg shells with fire and grind them into powder. Sprinkle them in the corners or near the ant hole to kill the ants. If there are ants on the closet, put some fragrant vegetables such as coriander and celery to drive away the ants.

Putting some walnut leaves, tobacco or Sichuan peppercorns in places where ants often appear can also help drive away ants. If there are ants hiding in the cracks of the walls at home, use rubber bands to solve the problem. Put the rubber bands in the cracks and seal them up. Because ants are afraid of the smell of rubber bands, they will not come out. Using toothpaste or candle oil to seal the cracks is also very effective.
