How to deal with the red spider mites on my flowers

Solution:

Spraying should be done at the right time. Spraying 1000-1500 times of 40% dicofol has a good insecticidal effect, but it is ineffective against insect eggs. Spraying with 0.3-0.5 degree lime sulfur mixture can kill insect eggs. Using 3-5 degree lime sulfur mixture during the dormant period of flowers and trees can kill overwintering female adults. Since red spiders mostly harm the back of leaves, when spraying, aim at the back of the leaves and pay attention to spraying the inner branches and leaves.

Red spider mites are a type of mite that can produce more than a dozen generations a year. They are especially harmful under high temperature and drought conditions. At temperatures above 30°C, they can reproduce a generation in about 5 days. They use their mouthparts to pierce the leaves and suck the juice, destroying the chlorophyll in the affected leaves. When the damage is serious, the leaves gradually turn yellow and fall off, and even all the leaves on the plant fall off, causing serious impact on growth.

Additional information

1. Soak citrus peels in about 10 times the amount of water for a day and night. After filtering, spray the plants to prevent and control red spider mites and aphids. If used to water flowers, it can prevent and control nematodes in the soil.

2. Mix 15 grams of laundry detergent, 15 milliliters of 20% caustic soda, and 7.5 kilograms of water and spray them. Check after one or two days. The mortality rate of adult and nymphal red spider mites is 94% to 98%.

3. Take 50 grams of wood ash and add 2500 grams of water, stir thoroughly, soak for two days and nights, filter, then add 3 grams of laundry detergent and mix well and spray. Do this once a day for three consecutive days, and then spray for three days every week. This can eliminate the second generation of pests, and can also prevent and control piercing-sucking pests such as aphids, red spiders, and scale insects. Putting it into the soil can prevent and control maggots.

4. Use a plate of lit mosquito coils and place it in the pot of diseased plants. Then tie the pot tightly with a plastic bag. After about an hour of fumigation, both adults and eggs can be killed. This is a good method that is both economical and effective.
