2. Reduce costs and formulate scientifically Nutrition is critical in the piglet period. Low nutritional standards are not conducive to the growth and development of piglets, and are prone to malnutrition and stiff pigs. Therefore, the nutritional standards of general compound feeds in the piglet period are relatively high, and the price of each kilogram of compound feed is between 1.2 and 1.4 yuan. The price of piglet feed made with chicken manure and fly maggots does not exceed 0.8 yuan, which is 0.4 to 0.6 yuan lower per kilogram of compound feed. In the test piglet period, 5 to 8 kilograms of dry chicken manure and 2 kilograms of dry fly maggots were added to every 50 kilograms of compound feed; 10 to 12 kilograms of dry chicken and 1.5 kilograms of dry fly maggots were added to the middle pig period (frame pigs); the amount of dry chicken manure added to fattening pigs reached as much as 15 kilograms, and 1.5 grams of dry fly maggots. The use of chicken manure and fly maggots reduces the amount of soybean meal, and does not require the addition of lysine, vitamins and other additives. The growth and fattening of pigs are the same as those of the commonly used scientific formula pig farming. At the same time, the average price of feed per kilogram during the entire pig breeding period does not exceed 0.78 yuan (dry chicken manure and fly maggots are not included in the cost), which is the lowest price of intensive pig feed formulas today. Chicken manure and fly maggots combined feed significantly reduces production costs.

3. Experimental observation, obvious effect. On July 11, 2005, two piglets were purchased, weighing a total of 33.5 kg. After 107 days of feeding, they were slaughtered on October 29. The weight of the two fattening pigs reached 180.5 kg, and the average daily weight gain of each pig was 687 grams. The two pigs consumed a total of 510 kg of compound feed, and the feed-to-meat ratio was 3.47:1; the cost of feed consumption for the two pigs was 397.8 yuan, the cost of purchasing piglets was 167.5 yuan, and the cost price of 1 kg of live pigs was 3.24 yuan, which means that the fattening pigs were sold at a price of no less than 3.3 yuan per kilogram, and there would be no loss; the two pigs were sold at 5.6 yuan per kilogram, with a net profit of 440 yuan. Raising pigs with dry chicken manure and fly maggots can obviously suppress market risks and increase economic income.
