Insect breeding chicken method:

1. Porridge method. Select 3 small plots of land and pour porridge on the ground. Cover with grass and prevent rain and water. After 2 days, the porridge will produce small insects. Let the chickens eat the insects in turn to meet the chickens' demand for protein feed.

2. Rice straw insect breeding method. Dig a rectangular pit with a width of 0.6m and a depth of 0.3m, cut the rice straw into 6-7cm long segments, boil it in water for 1-2 hours, take it out and pour it into the pit, cover it with 6-7cm thick sludge, garbage, etc., compact the sludge, and pour a basin of rice washing water every day. Insects will appear after about 8 days. Turn it over to let the chickens eat it, then cover it with sludge, etc., and pour rice washing water, and insects will continue to appear.

3. Bean cake breeding method. Crush the bean cake and ferment it with tofu dregs. After fermentation, mix it with chaff and leaves, put it in a 20-30cm deep pit, cover it with a layer of thin sludge, cover it tightly with grass, etc., and insects will appear after 6-7 days.

4. Tofu dregs method. Pour 1-2 kg of tofu dregs into a jar, add rice washing water, cover the jar, and worms will appear after 5-6 days. After another 3-4 days, the maggots can be eaten by chickens. Using 6 jars to breed worms in turn can meet the needs of 50 chickens.

5. Mixed insect breeding method. Dig a 0.5m deep pit, spread a layer of straw on the bottom, and a layer of sludge on the straw, and continue to spread it layer by layer until the pit is full. Water the pit every day. Insects will appear after more than 10 days.

6. The method of raising insects with rotten grass. Dig a pit with a width of 1.5m, a length of 1.8m and a depth of 0.5m in a relatively fertile land, spread a layer of straw on the bottom, a layer of tofu residue on top, a layer of cow dung, and a layer of mud on the dung. Continue to spread until the pit is full, and finally cover it with a layer of grass. Insects will appear in about a week.

7. Cow dung insect breeding method. Add 10% rice bran and 5% wheat bran to cow dung, mix well, pile it in a cool place, cover it with weeds, straw, etc., and seal it with sludge. Insects will appear after 20 days.

8. Breeding insects with distiller's grains. Add 10kg of distiller's grains to 50kg of tofu dregs, mix well and pile them up far away from the house in a bun-shaped or rectangular shape. Insects will appear after 2-3 days, and the maggots can be eaten by chickens after 5-7 days.

9. Horse manure insect breeding method. Dig a pit with a length and width of 1-2m and a depth of 0.3m in a moist place, spread a layer of chopped weeds on the bottom, a layer of horse manure on the grass, and a layer of wheat bran on the manure. Repeat this process until the pit is full, cover the top layer with grass, water once a day, and insects will appear in one week.

10. Miscellaneous material breeding method. Mix fresh cow dung, weeds, miscellaneous manure and other materials that are easy to breed worms, add water to make a paste, and pile it into a pile of 1m high, 1.5m wide and 3m long. Cover the top and sides of the pile with thin mud, and then cover the top of the pile with grass to prevent drying. Insects will grow after 7 to 15 days.

11. Wheat bran insect breeding method. Pile up two piles of wheat bran in the corner of the yard, and cover them with straw mud. After a few days, insects will appear. Let the chickens take turns to eat them. After they have eaten, gather the wheat bran and other materials together and pile them up. Cover them with straw mud again, and insects will appear again.

The main points to note when raising insects to feed chickens are as follows:

1: Choose a breed of chicken that is suitable for consumption, and carefully determine the species of insects based on objective conditions.

2: Establish or select a suitable environment for insect growth.

3: Feed the insects and appropriately adjust objective living conditions such as temperature and humidity to achieve high yields.

4: Collect or process the insects and feed them to chickens.

Mealworms can be raised at home by feeding them soybean meal and some vegetables. Barley worms can also be raised by feeding them vegetables such as pumpkins. Chicken manure can also be fermented and raised.

Mealworms and locusts can be used, and the breeding technology is low and the cost is low.

What's going on with the maggots on the chicken fermentation bed I made?

In some cases, maggots will breed in chicken fermentation beds. The breeding of maggots itself has no effect on the application of chicken fermentation beds, and maggots can become protein feed for chickens, but this also shows that the fermentation bed is in an abnormal state.

The main reason for the growth of maggots is the damp environment of the fermented bedding, which is caused by many factors: mainly because the water in the waterer leaks into the bedding, causing the bedding to have high moisture content, creating conditions suitable for the growth of maggots; it may also be because the feces are not turned over in time.

The main measures taken: 1. Reduce and eliminate water leakage from drinking fountains.

2. Turn over the leaked litter and the surrounding dry litter. In serious cases, dig out the wet litter and dry it in the sun.

3. Dig out the wet litter and spread it on the surface of other litter that is not soaked by water. Then fill the wet litter with dry litter from other places. At this time, the maggots in the litter will be eaten by the chickens.

The above method can not only eliminate the maggots in the litter, but also solve the problem of litter rot caused by excessive moisture.

The following two methods can also be considered: one is to spread "Fly Maggot Net" diluted with bedding on the surface of the bedding once, or add "Fly Maggot Net" to the feed for several days; the other is to spread "Ivermectin" diluted with bedding on the surface of the bedding once, or add Ivermectin to the feed for several days.
