How to quickly capture wild bees?

First of all, you need to find wild bees quickly. The probability of finding them outside is higher during the peak season when bees are dividing. Then, you usually need professional tools to put in the swarms of bees that have already separated. Of course, the most important thing is that the queen bee must be put in. The other bees will run away with the queen bee. Just put the queen bee in the wooden box.

The Chinese honey bee, also known as the Chinese honey bee, Chinese bee, and native bee, is a subspecies of the Oriental honey bee. It is a unique bee species in China and the main pollinator in forest communities dominated by mixed trees and traditional agriculture. The Chinese honey bee is small in size, with a black head and chest, a yellow-black abdomen, and yellow-brown hair all over its body.

The Chinese honey bee is an agile flyer with a keen sense of smell. It leaves the nest early and returns late. It spends 2 to 3 hours more each day collecting nectar than the Italian honey bee. It is good at utilizing scattered nectar sources, has strong collecting ability, high utilization rate, long nectar-collecting period, and has adaptability, strong resistance to mites and diseases, and consumes less feed. These advantages are unmatched by the Italian honey bee. The Chinese honey bee is very suitable for fixed-point breeding in China's mountainous areas.

In 2003, Beijing established the Chinese honey bee nature reserve in Fangshan District. In 2006, the Chinese honey bee was listed as a national livestock and poultry genetic resource protection species by the Ministry of Agriculture.

How to trap bees from someone else's home?

Beekeeping is a sideline for many farmers in mountainous areas. During the busy farming season, they focus on farming activities and only need to manage the bee colonies in their spare time. Some people want to do beekeeping themselves after seeing others do so, but they suffer from the lack of bee colonies and do not know how to find wild bees. Let’s take a look at how to trap other people’s bees!

1. Bee-luring time

The best time to lure bees is during the natural swarming period. If you are lucky, you can lure a group of bees with a queen, but the possibility of luring a swarm is very small. Is there no way out? In fact, if you can't lure a queen, you can lure some worker bees back, and then you can prepare a queen bee to lay eggs. There is also a chance to develop. Especially when there is a shortage of honey outside, it is easiest to lure worker bees.

2. Bee Attraction Tools

The decoy beehive can be modified from an ordinary beehive, either an ordinary movable frame beehive or a barrel beehive. If these beehives are not available, a hollowed-out tree trunk can be used instead. However, no matter which beehive is used, only one door can be left for the bees to enter and exit. Then melt some beeswax and apply it to the inner wall of the decoy beehive. Finally, sprinkle some honey water, syrup and other food to attract bees in the decoy beehive.

3. Trapping worker bees

After the beehive is made, you can use it to lure bees. During the natural swarming period, place the beehive in a relatively hidden and quiet place. However, the chance of directly luring someone else's swarming colony is very small. Therefore, a more effective way is to lure someone else's worker bees. The difference is that the best time to lure worker bees is when there is a shortage of nectar sources outside. After the worker bees detect food, they will bring a large number of worker bees to feed.

4. Intervention of the Queen Bee

When there are scout bees coming to the decoy hive to investigate, you should start preparing to produce queen bees. The queen bee can be purchased from other bee farms or directly online. After you get the queen bee, you should carefully observe the number of worker bees in the decoy hive. If there are hundreds or even thousands of worker bees, close the nest door and carefully introduce the queen bee in the next day. If the worker bees accept the queen bee, it means that decoy is halfway successful.

5. Bee colony management

The key to successfully introducing the queen is management. Do not open the beehive at this time, otherwise the worker bees will fly back to the original bee colony. At the same time, do not cut off the feed in the bee colony, because the bee colony at this time is purely a ragtag army, and any disturbance may lead to the destruction of the bee colony. Wait until the worker bees build honeycombs and the queen bee lays eggs, then try to open the nest door. If the worker bees are present to collect eggs, it means that it is basically successful.

Summary: It is not a simple matter to trap other people's bees. It is almost impossible to lure a whole colony of bees from another person's home, unless the other party's colony already has the intention to migrate. In addition, although the method of trapping worker bees and queen bees can be successful, if you have the time and skills, why not just buy a colony of bees?

If you want to trap someone else's bees, you should first catch their queen bee. Generally, the bee colony will migrate with the queen bee. You can also directly shake the bee colony into your own beehive.

One is to smear some honey in the beehive and place it in places where wild bees often move around, and use honey to lure scout bees.

Prepare some food and when trapping in this way, you need to pay attention to the surrounding environment.
