Is there anyone raising silkworms on trees?

Tussah silkworms are silkworms raised on trees.

The tussah silkworm (Antheraea pernyi) is an invertebrate belonging to the class Insecta, the order Lepidoptera, and the family Sporelidae. It is a wild silkworm with great economic value that is unique to my country. The adult is about 4 cm long and has a wingspan of about 16 cm. It is covered with yellow-brown scales all over its body. Each of the four wings has a white eye spot and oblique stripes. It can fly. The larvae are green, yellow or sky blue, with hair tubercles on their bodies and straight bristles. It has a large appetite and mainly feeds on the leaves of Liaodong oak, Mongolian oak, Quercus acutissima, and Quercus truncatula. It is artificially raised outdoors. The cocoon is oval, yellow-brown, with a cocoon handle at one end, and can be used as raw material for reeling silk. The pupa is dark black and overwinters as a pupa. About 3,000 years ago, my country began to artificially raise it, and it was introduced to Europe in the 19th century. The tussah silkworms raised in countries around the world today are all directly or indirectly introduced from my country. Liaoning, Shandong, Henan and other places are the main production areas of tussah silkworm cocoons in my country. Tussah silk can be used to weave silk, and industrially it can be used to make tire inner cores or parachutes.

Seeking tips for raising silkworms

Put it in the sun and wait for it to hatch. The small silkworms are small black caterpillars. Use a soft brush to put them on the clean mulberry leaves and put them in a box. They will eat the leaves by themselves, and then shed their skin and grow up. Note: The mulberry leaves must be washed and dried, and there must be no water, otherwise the silkworms will have diarrhea and die after eating them. If there are no mulberry leaves, lettuce leaves can be used instead.
