Pig manure also contains some components such as nitrogen and phosphorus, and these nutrients can be used to raise earthworms. However, if pig manure has a lot of nutrients, it is easy to produce ammonia odor. The strong ammonia odor in the manure can easily drive the earthworms away. Therefore, pig manure needs to be fermented and decomposed before it can be used to raise earthworms. Fermented pig manure has the following benefits for earthworm farming: Not only is the odor of pig manure and ammonia greatly reduced, but the high temperature during the fermentation process can kill the parasite eggs in the pig manure, and kill harmful bacteria such as E. coli that exist in large quantities in the pig manure through biological action, creating a breeding environment free of harmful bacteria for the survival of earthworms, avoiding various diseases such as skin diseases and gastrointestinal diseases of earthworms, increasing the survival rate of earthworm seedlings, promoting the reproduction and growth of earthworms, and reducing breeding costs. When fermenting pig manure to raise earthworms, the recommended microorganisms used for fermentation are Nongfukang manure fermentation agent - a special pig manure fermentation agent for fermenting pig manure to raise earthworms. Nongfukang manure fermentation agent (pig manure fermentation agent) is rich in more than 80 kinds of beneficial microorganisms from 10 genera, such as lactic acid bacteria, yeast, bifidobacterium, actinomycetes, etc. It can quickly ferment and mature pig manure, and the fermentation can be completed in 7-15 days. This product has low cost and fast fermentation speed. It integrates ammonia removal, insecticide, disease elimination, and nutrient improvement. It is powerful and easy to use. How to ferment pig manure to feed earthworms; 1. Material preparation (taking pig manure as an example) Mix pig manure (about 70%) with a certain proportion of straw powder, mushroom residue, peanut shell powder, or rice husk, sawdust, and then add Nongfukang manure fermentation agent at 0.5% of the weight of the material to be fermented (i.e. one kilogram ferments 200 kilograms of material) and mix evenly. Use fresh rice bran (Note: "rice bran" is not "general bran". Rice bran has good nutrition and air permeability. Old rice bran or general bran has poor nutrition and is not good). Add 5 to 10 kilograms of rice bran to every 1 kilogram of Nongfukang feces fermentation agent, which is conducive to mixing the fermentation agent and the material. 2. Moisture regulation After the materials are prepared, the moisture content of the materials should be adjusted. When adjusting the moisture content, pay attention to adding a small amount at first. When it is close to the requirement (60% to 65%), add more slowly to prevent excessive humidity. If the moisture content exceeds the standard, add more dry materials to adjust. The method to judge whether the moisture content of the material is 60% to 65% is to hold the material tightly with your hands. If watermarks are seen but no water drips, and it can be scattered when it falls to the ground (65% moisture content is not too wet, please pay attention to correct judgment). 3. Overturning of pile After the water content is adjusted, the pile should be built. The height and volume of the pile should not be too short or too small. The requirements are: the pile height is 1.5 to 2 meters, the width is 2 meters, and the length can be freely adjusted according to the amount of fermented materials, but it should not be less than 2 meters. Nongfukang fertilizer fermentation agent is aerobic fermentation, so the oxygen supply measures should be increased, and it should be mixed well, turned frequently, and ventilated. Otherwise, it will cause anaerobic fermentation and produce odor, affecting the effect. 4. Complete fermentation Generally, when the temperature reaches above 65℃ in the first 1-2 days of fermentation, it is necessary to turn it over and then continue fermentation. When the temperature reaches 65℃ again, it needs to be turned over for the second time. Generally, fermentation can be completed within a week. The material becomes dark brown and the temperature begins to drop to room temperature, indicating that fermentation is complete. 5. Adjust pH After fermentation is completed, test the pH value (the pH of the fermented material using Nongfukang feces fermentation agent will naturally drop to 6.5-7.5, and generally no adjustment is required). Earthworm feed generally requires a suitable pH value of 6-7.5, so the pH value of earthworm feed should be properly adjusted to make it close to neutral to suit the growth of earthworms. 6. Feeding We use the top-adding method and the side-feeding method. The top-adding method is to put the feed cover on the original feed that has been eaten by the earthworms, and it is done once every 10 to 15 days; the side-feeding method is to take out some of the eaten feed and add new feed on one side, and add the other side next time. 1. Pig manure fermentation If the pig manure has not been fermented, earthworms cannot be cultured, because the heat emitted by the pig manure will burn the earthworm eggs and cause the breeding to fail. First, the pig manure must be fermented, and the manure fermentation agent must be mixed into the pig manure to control the moisture at about 65%. According to the original moisture content of the pig manure, the moisture should be controlled for fermentation. Pay attention to the fermentation temperature. When the temperature rises to about 65 degrees, turn the pig manure over, lower the temperature and then ferment it again to prevent the nutrients from being destroyed. Cover with plastic film during fermentation for 12-15 days. 2. After the pig manure is fermented, a fermentation bed of a reasonable area should be set up according to the number of pigs raised. The pig manure should be placed in the breeding bed and piled into a manure pile of about 30 cm. An appropriate amount of cow manure can be added to the manure pile, and the cow manure should be raked and loosened once a day to promote even exposure to the sun. When the cow manure is 60% dry, earthworm species can be added. Control the breeding density and adjust it appropriately according to seasonal changes. For example, the breeding density can be appropriately dense in winter, while the breeding density should be reduced in summer. After adding the earthworm species, cover it with a layer of straw to keep it moist and warm. If 3. Feed selection for earthworm farming: Pig manure is definitely the main feed for earthworms, and the quality of pig manure is directly related to the success of earthworm farming. We must first control the density of pig manure, which should not be too high, otherwise it will cause too much pressure on the earthworms and affect their growth. We must also enhance the permeability of pig manure, improve its water retention capacity, and ensure the normal growth of earthworms. Then take another fresh pig manure, mix it with grass, water it enough to ensure that the humidity is above 60%, and pile it together for fermentation. Pig manure contains a lot of bacteria and may contain worm eggs. If you feed it directly to earthworms, the heat released during fermentation will scald the earthworms to death. You should mix pig manure with an appropriate proportion of crop straw, vegetable leaves, etc., pile them together, cover them with plastic sheeting for fermentation, and turn the pile over. When the mixture stops releasing heat, you can feed it to earthworms. |
