CATDOLL: How many broad bean seedlings can be raised on one acre of mulberry trees?

1. What is the spacing between plants and rows in broad bean planting?

The spacing between broad beans is between 15-20 cm, and the row spacing is generally about 30 cm. 3-4 seeds can be placed in each soil hole. Broad beans are suitable for planting in March-April or October-November each year. Before planting, the soil needs to be cultivated to remove stones and weeds in the soil to make the soil loose.

2. What is the row spacing and time for broad bean planting?

In the northwest region, broad beans are sown from early March to mid-April, and in the southern autumn broad bean areas, they are sown in mid-October.

When producing dry-grain broad beans, it is important to avoid sowing in early autumn. It is generally more appropriate to sow in early October to early November to prevent the broad beans from being harmed by low temperatures and frost during the flowering period.

When planting broad beans, the general plant spacing is 15-20 cm, and the row spacing is about 30 cm. Generally, 10,000 to 15,000 plants are planted per mu for large-grain varieties, 14,000 to 17,000 plants are planted per mu for medium-grain varieties, and about 20,000 plants are planted per mu for small-grain varieties.

If sowing is done with equal row spacing, the plant spacing should be controlled between 15-20cm and the row spacing should be controlled between 30-50cm;

If wide and narrow row sowing is used, the plant spacing is controlled at about 12 cm, the wide row spacing is controlled at 40 cm, and the narrow row spacing is 20 cm;

If the field is more fertile, adopt the seedling tuft planting method, with a row spacing of about 25cm and a tuft spacing of 45cm. Sow 3 seeds in each tuft (3 seeds arranged in a triangle), and the plant spacing within the tuft is about 5cm.

3. How many mulberry trees should be planted per acre of land?

Generally speaking, 30-50 mulberry trees can be planted per mu. Mulberry trees grow quickly and occupy a large area. If you want to plant high-yield mulberry trees, the planting spacing should be controlled at more than 2-3m to significantly increase the fruit yield of mulberry trees.

How many mulberry seedlings can be planted per acre?

1. Common mulberry

If planted in single row, the row spacing is 70-80cm, and the plant spacing is 15-20cm; if planted in double row, the wide row is 90-100cm, the narrow row is 40-50cm, and the plant spacing is 15-20cm. About 5,000 mulberry seedlings of this kind are planted per mu.

2. Mulberry

For mulberry garden, about 7,000 mulberry trees are planted per acre. The planting amount is large, the spacing between each row is very small, and the density is high. During management, care must be taken not to make the soil too moist.

3. Grafting mulberry seedlings

The grafted mulberry seedlings are relatively larger in size, with a planting distance of 50 cm and a row spacing of about 100 cm. 1,332 trees can be planted in one acre of land, and they should not be planted too densely.

4. Hybrid mulberry seedlings

The planting amount of hybrid mulberry seedlings per acre is also relatively large. The planting density is 12-18 cm between plants and 65-80 cm between rows. 5,000-7,000 trees are planted per acre. This type of mulberry seedlings grows dense quickly and can be harvested multiple times a year.
