How to prevent and treat hemorrhagic disease in eels?Hemorrhagic disease (septicemic red stem) in eel farming is caused by cross-infection of bacteria and viruses after the seedlings are put into the box due to continuous low temperature rainfall, bad weather or poor quality of seedlings. This disease is often complicated by tail rot. Symptoms include the head of the diseased eel sticking out of the water during the day and part of the body sticking out of the water at night. The body surface is covered with blood spots of varying sizes. Sometimes there is diffuse bleeding all over the body, especially in the abdomen. The anus is red and swollen, and there is bloody mucus in the mouth and gills. When complicated by tail rot, the tail is congested and ulcerated, with exposed muscles, and the infection can reach the anus. From the anus, the disease spreads to the body, and coagulated blood clots can be seen after dissection. Based on my past experience, I determined that the eel had a hemorrhagic disease and that I had to take preventive measures immediately. I immediately used glutaraldehyde 1.5ppm and Shencaodan 5ppm to spray the entire pond once a day for 3 consecutive days. At the same time, I reduced the amount of feed to half of the usual amount, increased the amount of fresh feed, and added Shuanghuanglian 5g/kg and Liweisan 4g/kg to the feed. On the third day, the eel was basically not seen "grazing", and everything returned to normal on the fourth day. According to my experience, this method has a significant effect on the treatment of hemorrhagic disease and madness in eels. If the eel hemorrhagic disease and madness disease are prevalent in the season, spray the whole pond with medicine once a week for prevention, and regularly use compound iodine to disinfect the water body. At the same time, fertilize the water according to the water quality of the pond, and use bile acid to repair liver damage once every 3 days. It can achieve twice the result with half the effort. |
