Why do most people keep odd number of arowana?

Arowana is a kind of freshwater ornamental fish and is the most expensive species among freshwater ornamental fish.

The eyes of arowana should be flat, bright and lively to be beautiful, but most arowanas kept in aquariums have eyes looking down. The reason for the eyes looking down is the accumulation of fat in the eyes. In addition, because of the search for live baits that sink to the bottom, such as fish and shrimp, and because the aquarium is transparent and the fish box is located at a high position, the arowana is attracted by the flat environment outside, and it forms a natural physiological phenomenon by staring at it for a long time.

People raise one, two, three, nine dragon fish, etc. So why do most people raise an odd number?

First of all, they are large fish, with a body length of 60-120 cm when they grow up. If there are too many of them, there may be a lack of space. Insufficient space will not only cause them to fight, but also affect their growth and development.

Of course, if the breeder can prepare a larger fish tank for them, the number of them can be raised more. Secondly, the character of the dragon fish is relatively fierce, and they often fight for various reasons. If a fight occurs, they will easily die or get injured.

Finally, they have very strict requirements on the environment, and if we keep a large number of them, we may not be able to control the environment in which they live well.
