CATDOLL: What kind of fish is the grouper?

The giant grouper is a giant grouper. The giant grouper is a carnivorous fish that lives in the bottom of warm-water critical oceans. It is a marine fish and is also known as the piglet grouper. The giant grouper likes to live in the sea area within the reef, which can reach a depth of about 60 meters. It feeds on bottom-dwelling crustaceans and small fish and shrimps. Although it does not swim fast, due to its special body structure, it often preys by surprise, catching its prey off guard.

The grouper fish mostly lives in tropical and subtropical coral reef areas. In addition to the Xisha and Nansha Islands in my country and the southern part of Hainan Island, it is also distributed in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, the east coast of Africa to the central Pacific Ocean, south to Australia, and north to southern Japan. The grouper fish rarely shows up in the sea, and experienced fishermen often catch it with longline fishing, hand fishing or bottom trawling.

The giant grouper is a precious fish in the ocean. It has delicious meat, rich nutrition, and tastes better than ordinary grouper. It can be made into many kinds of seafood delicacies. It is scarce and expensive.

Wild giant groupers are protected by the "Implementation Regulations on the Protection of Aquatic Wildlife". In addition, wild giant groupers are also key protected aquatic wild animals in Guangdong Province.
