Does cat deworming medicine need to be fed on an empty stomach?

Cats do not need to be fed on an empty stomach to take anthelmintics. The anthelmintics should be taken once a month for young cats and once every three months for adult cats. The choice of anthelmintics is mostly broad-spectrum anthelmintics, which can kill roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms. The anthelmintics must be purchased from regular channels and taken according to the prescribed dosage. If worms are found to be pulled out after taking the anthelmintics, they should be taken to the hospital in time to determine further anthelmintics.

Cat deworming precautions:

1. Pay attention to the cat's mental state after deworming. After deworming, some cats with weak stomachs and poor physical fitness will experience vomiting, lack of energy, and even fever. Generally, these symptoms will improve in 1 to 2 days. If this situation persists for several days, it is best to consult a doctor.

2. Deworm cats regularly, about once a month. Cats are the final hosts of many parasites. Depending on the type of parasite, the growth cycle can be as short as half a month or even as short as a week, so deworming once a month is absolutely necessary.

3. The dosage of cat anthelmintics. Anthelmintics are toxic, so you must feed them according to the instructions, especially for domestic anthelmintics. You must weigh the cat before using the medicine and calculate the dosage according to the weight. Sometimes there will be a lot of medicine left. If you think it is a waste, you can feed it to stray cats.
