CATDOLL : When is the best time to vaccinate kittens?

When is the best time to vaccinate kittens?

It is better to vaccinate cats 2 to 3 months after birth. Generally speaking, the first immunization requires 3 consecutive injections of cat triple vaccine, with an interval of about 20 days between each injection. After the three-injection vaccine is completed, it can be tested for antibodies after 3 weeks to determine whether the antibody level has reached the required level after the three-injection immunization. If it has reached the required level, rabies vaccine can be administered. Healthy cats can be vaccinated against rabies after 3 months of age. It should be noted that the interval between rabies vaccination and triple vaccine should be more than one week. From the second year onwards, enhanced immunity is required, and one injection of triple vaccine and rabies vaccine is sufficient.

Things to note when giving kittens vaccinations:

1. Cats will have a stress reaction when they are just brought home. Do not vaccinate them immediately at this time. You should let the cat adapt for a period of time before vaccinating them.

2. When choosing to vaccinate your cat, remember to choose a professional designated pet hospital and perform the vaccination according to the doctor's instructions and arrangements. Also remember to keep the cat's vaccination records.

3. Cats should not be bathed or taken out for one week after vaccination to avoid virus infection.
