How to understand the meaning of a cat's tail movements?

What a cat's tail means:

1. When a cat's tail hangs down and trembles and its fur stands on end: This indicates that the cat is experiencing fear and panic. If a cat encounters another strange cat, or an insect or bird, or something that is unfamiliar to the cat, the cat's tail will have this posture.

2. When a cat's tail is in a vertical position: This means that the cat likes you and is happy with you; if you hold a dried fish in your hand, or you just get home from get off work and open the door, your cat will greet you in this position. This is the cat's way of expressing its love for you.

3. When the cat's tail lies flat on the ground and shakes very little: this state indicates that the cat is not in a very good mood at the moment; the cat may be sick, the cat may be unhappy, or the cat may have just been scolded by you.

4. When the cat's tail is lying flat and looks somewhat relaxed: the cat in this state is full of curiosity about what is happening in front of it; for example, when a cat sees a cat toy or its favorite toy, the cat's tail will show this posture.

5. When a cat's tail stands upright with its fur standing firm: the cat is furious or in extreme panic, and will have this posture; it is difficult for you to guess the cat's anger.

6. The cat's tail shakes left and right with a large amplitude: This posture of the cat's tail shows that the cat is very comfortable and likes what it is facing; when you stroke the cat, the cat will shake its tail with a large amplitude, which represents the cat's love for you.

7. The cat's tail is tucked in and trembling slightly: In this case, it means that the cat is afraid of the things, animals, or people in front of it, and is in a weak position.

Ways to make your cat happy:

1. Toy interaction: cat teasers and laser pens are toys that most cats cannot resist.

2. Massage the places that cats like, such as the chin and near the ears. These places have scent glands that cats use to mark themselves. On the other hand, cats cannot lick these two places. If you touch and press them, the cat will feel comfortable.

3. When cats don’t like being touched, watch them from a distance, blink at them slowly, and play some soothing music. Cats can understand what you say most of the time, so call their names more often and talk to them softly.
