Are cat ear mites difficult to treat?

Cats with ear mites are not difficult to treat. As long as you use the correct care methods and persist in care, the cat's ear mites will gradually disappear. After that, pay attention to regular cleaning of the ear canal, and the cat will hardly suffer from ear mites again.

The correct way to treat cats with ear mites:

1. Isolate the cat and clean the house. Cats with ear mites should be isolated because ear mites can be transmitted to other cats. Close contact can easily spread the infection. Therefore, cats should be isolated when there are many cats at home. After isolation, the house should be cleaned. When cats have ear mites, the ear canal will produce a lot of dark brown secretions. Some of them stick to the skin of the ear canal, and some will fall off as the cat walks. Contact with these secretions may also be infected with ear mites. Therefore, the floor should be mopped and cleaned frequently with household disinfectant, and things that the cat has touched should also be cleaned.

2. Clean the ear canal secretions. Cleaning the ear canal is very important in the process of solving ear mites. Most cats have ear mites because the excessive ear secretions attract parasites to live, so ear mites breed. Therefore, when dealing with ear mites, you must first clean the secretions in the ear canal. Before handling, wrap the cat with a towel, then fix the cat's head and gently wipe the ear canal with a wet cotton ball. You can also apply some ear oil, apply a layer of ear canal first, and then wipe the ear canal clean with pet wipes after the secretions soften. After cleaning the secretions, pour an appropriate amount of Meow Think Ear Wash to help the cat clean the ear canal.

3. Pay attention to the subsequent care. After a cat has ear mites, you should use pet wipes to clean the cat's ear canal every day. When the cat's ear canal secretions gradually turn yellow, the cat scratches its ears less, and the ears no longer smell, it means that the ear mites are almost healed, and you can continue to care for it. Some cats will scratch their ears after they have ear mites. In this case, you should put a headgear on the cat to prevent this behavior.
