The kitten just got home and keeps meowing. Should I pay attention to it?

If a kitten keeps meowing when it arrives home, you need to pay attention to it. The kitten is not used to it when it first arrives home, so you need to let it adapt gradually, but you cannot pay attention to it every time it meows. You need to develop good habits.

The reason why the kitten keeps meowing when it first arrives home:

1. Call you over:

Some kittens are born to love their relatives very much. They like humans to be with them and play with them, so they will keep calling, hoping that their owners will come and accompany them.

If your cat is like this, be sure to spend more time with it and let it get familiar with you.

2. Feeling Fear:

When kittens are brought home by their new owners, they cannot adapt to the new environment all at once, so they will feel scared and cry out. Generally, the condition will get better after a few days as the cats adapt.

At this time, the owner can make a cardboard box cat bed for the cat so that the cat can hide in it, and the cat will feel more secure.

3. Calling Mother:

After kittens are taken to a new home by their owners, they will miss their mother especially, because kittens are used to staying next to their mother to sleep and drink milk, and they will feel insecure if they leave their mother.

So the kitten will keep meowing, hoping that its mother can hear its cry.

4. Want to go home:

Generally, kittens will not be taken home by their new owners until they are 2 to 3 months old. During this period of time, kittens will regard the pet shop as their home.

So when you take the kitten home, it will meow, wanting to return to its familiar environment.

5. Don’t want to be caged:

Many people will throw their kittens directly into the cage after bringing them home. However, this will make the cats feel very panicked, so they will keep meowing.

Before adapting to the new environment, kittens hope to find some places to hide themselves, which will make them feel safer.

6. Physical discomfort:

If kittens are unwell, they will keep screaming. Kittens have poor resistance and get sick easily, so they will keep screaming.
