Bream

Bream, scientific name: Parabramis pekinensis (Basilewsky, 1855), also known as bream, long-bodied bream, bream flower, oil bream; ancient name Chatou bream, shrink-necked bream. In China, bream is also a general term for triangular bream and round-head bream (Wuchang fish). It is about 40 cm long and is more suitable for still water life. It is mainly distributed in medium-sized lakes attached to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China. It grows rapidly, has strong adaptability, and eats a wide range of foods. Because of its tender meat and delicious taste, it is one of the main freshwater farmed fish in China.

Bream is an herbivorous fish. The main food for bream and adult fish is aquatic vascular plants such as Vallisneria, Hydrilla verticillata, and Potamogeton. They also like to eat terrestrial grasses and leaves. They can also eat some plant debris on the bottom of lakes and a small amount of zooplankton, so their food range is relatively wide.

You can eat more bream, as long as you are not a taboo person. If you eat bream but don't gain weight, it's because fish is a good source of protein and has less fat than other meats, so it's not easy to gain weight or get fat from eating fish.

Many of them are edible. Those that are not edible are probably poisonous. Generally, freshwater ornamental fish can eat them. But try not to eat them, because ornamental fish will inevitably have drug residues during the breeding process; they may also carry various pathogens; during the feeding process, pigments and hormones will enter the fish's body through the feed, which will have an impact on the human body if eaten.

Not everything can eat bream blood.
