CATDOLL: How to keep crucian carp alive

1. How to keep crucian carp alive

Is the iron tank big enough? Try raising them separately~ put some sand and stones at the bottom

2. How to raise crucian carp at home?

1. Cement pool

Build a 60*60*80 cm cement pool in the corner of the balcony, and apply waterproof paint three times inside the cement pool. The drain pipe is 60 cm long and made of PVC pipe. Open a hole at 40-50 cm to prevent the water from filling up and forgetting to turn off the faucet.

2. Cement pool cleaning

First, let the water fill up for 5 days, then change the water. Then let it fill up for 3 days, then change the water. The purpose is to dilute the acid and alkali solvent in the cement. You can buy (1-14) PH test paper online to test whether the water quality meets the standard for stocking. Generally, if the test paper reaches the standard of 7, you can stock.

Every time you change the water in the cement pool and clean it, you can use lime or potassium permanganate to disinfect the fish pond to prevent the fish from being infected by diseases.

3. Fish disease prevention and control

Fish disease prevention and control should adopt the principle of "preventing diseases before they occur and treating them early". Every time you completely change the water in the fish pond, use potassium permanganate (10-20 ml/L) and salt water (1-3%) to wash the crucian carp in turn. The bathing time can be flexibly increased or decreased depending on the size and health of the fish, generally not more than 10 minutes, which can achieve the purpose of killing insects, sterilizing and reducing inflammation. Usually, a small amount of salt (at a ratio of 1/5000 or 1/10000) is added to the fish pond as appropriate. This has a great effect on controlling and reducing the incidence of fish diseases, especially for the prevention and treatment of Saprolegniasis and Myxococcus.

4. Fish Pond Management

For stocked crucian carp, oxygen should be added for 1-2 hours. When you find fish floating to the surface, you should turn on the oxygenator. It is best to buy a power timer so that you don't have to bother. Changing the water is the key. As long as the water is turbid, you should change the water. Each time you change the water, you should leave one-fourth of the water in the original fish pond, because fish are very sensitive to the temperature difference of the water. If the temperature difference is large, the fish will die. The frequency of changing the water depends on how many crucian carp you stock. If such a large fish pond is stocked with 10 kilograms, then the water should be changed every day. The fewer fish you put in, the higher the survival rate. Feeding crucian carp; I basically don't feed them, especially in winter. I don't need to feed them for a month and the fish will not die. If you want to feed them, put some millet. It's better to be less than more. At most, the fish will be thinner.

3. How to keep small crucian carp alive

If you want to keep it for a long time, you need to make sure there is a fish tank or a larger basin with enough space for it to move around. You also need to put in some water from its original water area. The environment needs to be ventilated and not exposed to the sun or low temperature. When changing the water, you cannot pour out all the water. You need to keep some original water. Leave the tap water for a day before changing it. Do not use it directly. If possible, it is best to add oxygen. The most important thing is to feed less.
