How to raise river crabs? How to raise river crabs

1. First put some sand and water in the basin. It should be tap water that has been exposed to the sun. You can let the crabs bask in the sun for a while, but not for too long. It is best for crabs to eat red nematodes or other internal organs and grass.

2. Pay attention to the amount of food you eat. Half an hour is the standard. It is best to raise several crabs together to increase the survival rate. The intensity of the crab's food intake varies with the water temperature and the temperature of the environment, so you can adjust the feeding plan based on this. Clean the crabs frequently to prevent infectious diseases, but don't wash them too vigorously with soap.

The current situation of river crab farming

River crab farming has evolved from the initial resource release farming to the current intensive high-density breeding, and from decentralized to regional intensive development. Except for a few regions such as Heilongjiang, Qinghai, and Tibet, where the development is slow, river crab farming is carried out in Fujian and Guangdong in the south and Liaoning, Shandong, and Hebei in the north. A regional intensive and large-scale rotation farming pattern has been formed with Taihu Lake, Dongting Lake, Hongze Lake, Poyang Lake, Chaohu Lake, and Yangcheng Lake as bases, and Liaohe River, Yangtze River, and Minjiang River as industrial belts. In 2012, the national river crab production was about 650,000 tons. In Jiangsu, a major river crab production province, the production accounted for more than half of the country, with a breeding area of 4 million mu, a production of 320,000 tons, and an output value of more than 20 billion yuan. The total river crab production in Anhui Province and Hubei Province ranked second and third in the country respectively.

Progress in crab farming technology

River crab breeding began in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when it relied on natural crab seedlings and artificially released them into large water bodies such as lakes and ponds. By the mid-1980s, the agricultural industrial structure was adjusted, and the breeding of river crabs in large water bodies was further developed into various forms of intensive breeding in small water bodies, which achieved good social and economic benefits.

After nearly 20 years of breeding, a complete set of river crab breeding technology system has been basically established. Its main core technologies include: using ecological seedling technology to cultivate strong seedlings; promoting comprehensive intensification method to cultivate large-scale crab seeds; using ecological restoration technology to repair the breeding water environment; promoting the "pond + lake" relay breeding model; reducing the density of crab seeds, adopting sparse breeding, mixed breeding and rotation breeding; the rise of new technologies for breeding in northern rice fields, rice-crab symbiosis, dual use of water, and double harvest from one land, etc.

There are problems in the current development of river crab farming

1. Water pollution is becoming more and more serious

Raising aquatic products depends mainly on water. In recent years, pollution from industrial "three wastes" and pesticides has become increasingly serious. Therefore, in areas with seriously polluted water, the mortality rate of river crabs has increased significantly.

(II) Site selection and construction are not based on the characteristics of river crabs. River crab farming requires sufficient water sources in the crab area, deep and wide water, convenient drainage and irrigation, less sludge, fresh water quality, abundant bait sources, a ratio of deep and shallow water areas of more than 3:1, a reasonable combination of submerged plants, emergent plants and floating plants, and a total coverage rate of more than 1/3. At present, most farmers cannot fully meet these requirements.

3. Serious degradation of germplasm

In recent years, many places have introduced species and mated indiscriminately. Some nurseries use male and female crabs from the same pond and the same parents as parents for inbreeding. Some use one-year-old crabs that are not fully developed physiologically as breeding parents. Some use smaller adult crabs to make up the numbers. Some are due to environmental pollution that affects the growth and development of individuals and groups. These factors have caused a considerable number of river crabs to seriously degenerate and deteriorate, not only are they small, but they also have poor disease resistance.

Through the above information about the current situation of river crab farming, we now know what the current situation of river crab farming is. When carrying out farming, we must pay attention to preventing pollution, and this is also a real phenomenon in reality. We need to understand the actual local situation when farming.
