You are talking about a fish called bigmouth catfish. 1. To improve the survival rate and breeding efficiency, the largemouth catfish released must be over 8cm in length and of uniform size. The stocking density is 1000-1500 per mu for 8cm-1ocm size and 800-1200 per mu for 10cm-12cm size. 100-120 large-sized silver carp and bighead carp weighing 150g-250g are added to the pond to regulate water quality. 2. Feeding: Catfish is a carnivorous fish, and mainly feeds on live fish, fresh-frozen fish, and animal viscera, but it can also be fed with artificial compound feed through artificial domestication. (1) Carnivorous bait: When releasing largemouth catfish, corresponding fish species that are slightly smaller than largemouth catfish should be released. The main daily food is still fresh ice fish chunks. Animal offal such as pig lungs and cow lungs can also be fed. When these animal feeds are not available, artificial feeding can be used to feed artificial compound feeds, which can achieve better results. (2) Artificial compound feed: The protein content of compound feed is 41%-50%. When feeding, each pond is equipped with (2-4) feeding tables to facilitate observation of feeding conditions. 1. According to the specifications of the fish species, there are three types of cages with different mesh sizes: first-level fish cages, second-level fish cages and adult fish cages. First-level fish cages: mesh size 0.6cm-0.8cm, specifications 4mx4mx2m or 5mx5mx2m, single-layer warp-knitted knotless polyethylene open cages; second-level fish cages: mesh size 1cm-1.5cm polyethylene knot open cages, specifications 4mx4mx3m or 5mx5mx3m; adult fish cages: mesh size 2.5cm-4cm, specifications 4mx4mx3m or 5mx5mx3m double-layer polyethylene knot closed cages. 2. Fish stocking The best time to stock largemouth catfish for primary stocking is in early and mid-May each year. The stocking density is 500-600 largemouth catfish/m2 according to the size of 4cm-5cm. After 15d-20d, they are divided into boxes according to size. For the size of 8cm-10cm, 350-450 are stocked/m2. When the size is over 15cm, they are promptly transferred to the secondary box for stocking, 250-300 are stocked/m2. When the fish weigh about 25g, they are transferred to the adult fish box, 40-60 are stocked/m20. 3. Feeding: A feeding table is set up in the cage to facilitate observation of fish feeding and full utilization of bait. Generally, one feeding table is set up for every 1om2, hanging 20cm-30cm away from the bottom of the net in the box. When the total length of the bigmouth catfish is 5cm-10cm, the daily feeding rate is 8%-10% of the fish weight; when the total length is 10cm-20cm, it can be adjusted to 4%-6%; when the total length is above 20cm, the feeding rate is 1%-3%. Feed three times a day in the morning, afternoon and evening. Among them, the amount of feeding is slightly increased at night. The bait can be mainly wild fish, iced fish, and animal offal. It can also be fed with artificial compound feed through artificial training. The method is: after the fish species enter the box, stop feeding for 1d-2d to make them feel a little hungry, then put a small amount of attractant on the bait table every day, and slowly feed artificial compound feed. As the bigmouth catfish adapts to the artificial compound feed, the amount of attractant is reduced accordingly until the bigmouth catfish is fully adapted to eating artificial compound feed. |
