CATDOLL: How to raise maggots after pig manure is fermented

1. How to raise maggots after pig manure is fermented

Pig manure has a fine texture and high content of organic matter and nutrients. It is an ideal breeding ground for maggots. Since pig manure often contains a large number of harmful bacteria and parasite eggs, and has a bad smell, it needs to be fermented with Jinbaobei fertilizer fermentation agent before use. The fermented pig manure has no odor, balanced nutrition, and no safety hazards of harmful bacteria and parasites. It is the best nutrient matrix for maggots. The specific process is as follows:

1. Pig manure fermentation. Under normal circumstances, 1 kg of Jinbaobei fertilizer fermentation agent can ferment 1.5 tons of pig manure (about 3 tons of fresh manure). The fermentation agent needs to be mixed and diluted with rice bran (or corn flour, wheat bran) at a ratio of 1:5, and then evenly sprinkled into the pig manure material pile and mixed evenly. Adjust the moisture content of the fermented material to between 60 and 65%. Judgment method: Grasp a handful of material with your hand, and water marks can be seen between your fingers but no water drips, and it is better to fall apart when it hits the ground. Make a pile of pig manure mixed with Jinbaobei fertilizer fermentation agent, which should not be too small (preferably 1.2 to 1.5 meters high, 2 meters wide, and 2 to 4 meters long). Pay attention to turning it over 2 to 3 times during the fermentation process, and control the temperature at around 65 degrees. Generally, fermentation can be completed within a week.

2. Collect eggs. Send the fermented pig manure to the maggot house and pile it into a strip of 0.8 meters long, 0.2 meters wide and 0.15 meters high. Put egg collectors on the manure pile, and put three small piles on each strip. The formula of egg collectors is: based on 100 kilograms of manure: 1 kilogram of wheat bran, 2 taels of fish meal, 3 taels of peanut bran, and 1.5 kilograms of water. Mix well and put it on the manure pile. After putting the egg collectors, it is forbidden to walk in the maggot house.

3. Collect maggots. At room temperature of 25-35℃, the egg mass generally hatches into small maggots after 8 hours. During the fermentation process, the functional probiotics contained in the Jinbaobei fertilizer fermentation agent have the effect of inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria; and the high temperature generated by the fermentation can kill parasites and pathogens that are not resistant to high temperatures, creating a healthy environment for the hatching and growth of young maggots. The small maggots will first eat the egg collection, and then drill into the manure pile to grow. The fermented pig manure is nutritionally balanced, and the nutrients are easier for maggots to digest and absorb, which can ensure the nutritional needs of rapid growth. The peak period for crawling out is 72-96 hours after hatching, and it can be collected. Generally, on the fourth day after the manure is put in, the maggots in the manure pile can be basically crawled and collected.

The maggot breeding cycle is short and the breeding cost is low. It only needs fermented pig manure. In addition, the fermentation time is greatly shortened by using Jinbaobei fertilizer fermentation agent, and it is less expensive, simple to operate, and more suitable for the growth of maggots. Pig manure treatment is a particularly troublesome problem for large farms. After simple treatment, it is used to raise maggots, which not only solves the problem of environmental pollution, but also provides high-protein feed for livestock. It is a good example of waste ecological recycling and creating benefits, which is worth learning from.

2. Can fresh pig manure be used to directly raise fly maggots?

Generally, one pound of pig manure can raise 0.5 pounds of maggots. It also depends on factors such as temperature. It is difficult to achieve benefits by raising maggots alone. Maggots actually move within 5 cm of the surface of the feed, causing waste; if the feed is too small or too shallow, not much feed can be loaded, which affects the production of maggots and is also easy to lose water.

3. Technology of using Em bacteria to ferment pig manure to raise fly maggots

2. Manure fermentation

The feed formula for feeding fly maggots can be selected:

1. Pig manure 60% chicken manure 40%

2. Chicken manure 60% pig manure 40%

3. Pig manure 80%, alcohol 10%, corn or wheat bran 10%

4. Cow dung 30%, pig dung or chicken dung 60%, rice bran or corn flour 10%

5. Tofu residue or cassava residue 20-50% Chicken and pig manure 50-80%

6. Chicken manure 100% or pig manure 100%

After the manure is prepared, add about 10% chopped straw, evenly pour Nongshengle EM bacterial liquid (5 kg per ton of manure) to make the manure contain 90-100% water and seal it in the fermentation tank for fermentation. On the third day, turn the manure over and add 3 kg of EM bacterial liquid per ton of manure. Generally, the manure can be used after 5-6 days. The temperature is lower in spring, and the fermentation time of manure is appropriately shortened, so that the manure can ferment and generate heat during the process of feeding fly maggots, which can reduce or eliminate the need for external heat sources, and the fly maggots can grow normally.
