The colorful pheasant is known as the "king of game". What are the key points of colorful pheasant breeding technology?

Colorful pheasants are commonly known as pheasants, also known as pheasants. Because of their colorful feathers, they are named colorful pheasants. They are rare game birds that can be used for meat, ornamental purposes, and medicine. They are known as the "king of game" and "animal ginseng". Colorful pheasants have high economic value, tender and delicious meat, strong game flavor, high protein content, and good prospects for artificial breeding. However, when artificially breeding colorful pheasants, if there is no complete and appropriate breeding technology, colorful pheasants are prone to disease and low yields. If the living habits of colorful pheasants are not used reasonably, it is difficult to increase profits.

Here I will introduce the breeding method of colorful pheasants:

1. Chicken house management

(1) Since the pheasants are somewhat wild, the chicken coops can be open, that is, they can be raised in enclosures.

(2) The soil you choose must be loose, such as sandy soil, because pheasants have the habit of bathing in sandy soil, which can remove parasites.

(3) There must be a shed in the middle of the site for rest and shelter from the rain. Drinking water and feeding can be fixed in one place, which is conducive to daily management and observation.

(4) The site must also be fenced. The height of the fence must be more than 2 meters, because pheasants can fly and jump, so this can prevent them from escaping.

2. Chick management

(1) Although the pheasant has a strong ability to survive, it is very fragile when it is a chick. If it is not managed properly, problems will easily arise.

(2) First of all, you must pay attention to the temperature. Generally, the temperature must be maintained at around 30-35°C in the first two weeks after hatching, and controlled at around 20-30°C after two weeks.

(3) The ventilation and air quality of the incubator must be maintained well in the early stage. If the conditions are good, a small amount of air freshener can be sprayed. Secondly, the lighting should be as dim as possible, which is conducive to the hibernation of the chicks.

3. Feeding and management

(1) The feed for pheasants generally changes seasonally. In winter, there is more feed and less grass and water. The water must be above 0°C because pheasants are very afraid of cold.

(2) In summer, the amount of feed must be less than that of hay, and the hay must be fresh.

(3) Both the feeding trough and the water trough should be cleaned every day to avoid the occurrence of diseases.

(4) The principle of feeding is three times a day, morning, noon and evening. When feeding, you must wait until the animal has finished eating before feeding it the second time. This can ensure the amount of food intake and avoid waste.

4. Notes

(1) When raising pheasants, you must pay great attention to hygiene and cleanliness, because the feces of pheasants are prone to parasites.

(2) You can usually throw some vegetables into the breeding field to supplement various vitamins. Generally, the profit is greatest when pheasants are raised to 2-3 kilograms, and it will be difficult for them to grow bigger at a later stage, so they must be marketed in a timely manner.

Warm reminder: Colorful pheasants are protected wild animals. Protecting wild animals starts with ourselves. We should refuse to buy or sell wild animal products and do not interfere with the free life of wild animals. The current behavior of eating precious and endangered wild animals is not only a social bad habit, but also one of the reasons why illegal hunting and killing of precious and endangered wild animals are rampant. No buying or selling means no killing. Stop eating wild animals. They do not belong on the table.
