CATDOLL: Origin and season of Chinese round field snails

Origin and production season of Chinese round field snail

It is widely distributed throughout the country, and is produced in freshwater lakes, reservoirs, rice fields, ponds and ditches all year round.

May I ask when is the breeding season of field snails? Also, what should be paid attention to when raising them artificially? Please come if you know. Thank you.

Snails like to live in fresh, clean fresh water, so they can be raised in places with running water sources such as paddy fields, vegetable garden ditches, ponds and fish ponds. The water source should avoid being polluted by pesticides, fertilizers and industrial wastewater, and a certain number of bamboo branches should be placed in the pond for the snails to inhabit. Spring water and well water should not be used for breeding snails, because their dissolved oxygen content is low, and directly injecting them into the breeding pond is not conducive to the growth of snails. If spring water or well water is used, oxygenation measures must be taken. June to October is the period of mass spawning and reproduction of snails. Seedlings can be picked up from fertile paddy fields, ponds, and ditches, or commercial snails can be purchased. The stocking density should be kept at 50-100 per square meter (the specification is 500 per kilogram), and the size should be basically the same. Check it out on the Internet yourself.
