Snails like to live in fresh, clean fresh water, so they can be raised in places with running water sources such as paddy fields, vegetable garden ditches, ponds and fish ponds. Seedlings can be picked up from fertile paddy fields, ponds, and ditches, or commercial snails can be purchased.
