CATDOLL: Green Column Care Guide: How to Properly Care for Green Column Plants

Green pillars, also known as succulents, are a common and popular indoor plant. They often grow in cracks between rocks and are an ideal plant for beginners because they are relatively easy to care for. Here's how to properly care for green pillar plants.

1. Lighting

Green column likes full sunlight, but avoids excessive exposure. In winter, it can be placed outdoors to get more sunlight, and in summer it needs partial shade to prevent leaf burns.

2. Watering

Succulents prefer a dry environment, so water them moderately to avoid waterlogging. In the summer growing season, you can water them 1-2 times a week, and in winter reduce this to once every two weeks. Avoid watering directly on the leaves to prevent rot.

3. Temperature

Green column likes a warm environment and grows best at around 20-30 degrees Celsius. Avoid cold and humid environments in winter, and consider moving it indoors and providing appropriate light.

4. Fertilizer

Apply fertilizer appropriately during the growth period of succulents, generally once a month in spring and summer, and once every two months in autumn. Choose fertilizers containing trace elements to promote plant growth and keep leaves healthy.

5. Pruning and propagation

Regularly pruning dry or overlong branches can keep the plant beautiful and promote new growth. Green column can be propagated by leaf or stem cuttings, which is suitable for spring or summer.

6. Pest and disease control

Check your plants regularly for pests and diseases, and if you find any problems, take immediate action. Common problems include aphids, snails, and gray mold. You can choose between biological or chemical control to deal with different situations.

With the right care methods, you can keep your green column healthy and more beautiful. Hopefully, these care guidelines will help you take better care of your green column plant.
