CATDOLL: How to treat pigs with solitary disease

What is swine monocytosis?

Porcine solitary disease, also known as solitary health problem (PSE) or grease disease, is a common health problem in pigs, characterized by white, grease-like changes on the surface of pork. The occurrence of this disease is mainly related to factors such as pig genes and environment.

Cause Analysis

The occurrence of porcine monosis is mainly related to genetic and environmental factors. In terms of genetics, some pig breeds or individuals have insufficient oxygenation capacity for pork, resulting in reduced activity of oxygen molecules in the meat, thus causing grease disease. In terms of environmental factors, high temperature environment, high temperature transportation, unreasonable feeding and management, etc. may all lead to the occurrence of porcine monosis.

How to treat pig mononucleosis

The key to treating pig monotherapy is to improve the pig breeding environment and manage the pig herd properly. The following are some effective treatments:

  • Improve the breeding environment: ensure that the pig house is well ventilated and the temperature is appropriate to avoid the occurrence of pig diseases in high temperature environments.
  • Reasonable feed supply: Providing balanced feed according to the needs of pigs and increasing the content of nutrients such as vitamin E and selenium in the feed will help improve the occurrence of lipopolysaccharide.
  • Monitor the health of the pig herd: Regularly check the health of the pig herd, promptly detect and deal with pigs showing signs of illness to avoid the spread of the disease.
  • Genetic improvement: By selecting excellent breeding pigs, the probability of fat sliding disease in the pig herd can be gradually reduced.

Precautions

In addition to treatment, prevention of swine monotherapy is equally important. Here are some preventive measures:

  • Reasonable feeding and management: pay attention to keeping the pig house clean and hygienic and provide a suitable feeding environment.
  • Reasonable feed supply: Provide balanced feed according to the needs of pigs to ensure adequate nutritional intake of pigs.
  • Check the pig herd regularly: promptly identify pigs showing signs of illness in the herd, and isolate and handle them in a timely manner.
  • Genetic improvement: By selecting excellent breeding pigs, the probability of fat sliding disease in the pig herd can be gradually reduced.

Swine monocytosis is a common health problem in pigs, but through reasonable feeding management and preventive measures, we can effectively reduce the occurrence of the disease and improve the health level of pigs.
