1. How to make medicinal materials from raised earthworms

1. Making turtle shell:

(1) Preparation of raw turtle shell: Put the raw materials into water, use a hard brush to remove the skin and flesh, dry them in the sun or steam them in a steamer for 45 minutes, take them out, wash them, and dry them in the sun and at night until there is no odor. After drying, they are ready.

(2) Preparation of Vinegar-cooked Turtle Shells: Place sand in a pot and heat over high heat until the sand is smooth and easy to turn over. Add the cleaned turtle shells and fry until they are crispy and yellow in color. Remove from the pot. Sieve out the sand and pour into the prepared vinegar solution while it is still hot. Remove from the pot and dry. Generally, 20 kg of vinegar is enough for 100 kg of turtle shells.

2. Production of tortoise shell glue and turtle shell glue:

(1) Ingredients: 3.125 kg tortoise shell or turtle shell, 0.156 kg crystal sugar, 0.047 kg soybean oil, and 0.094 kg rice wine. The glue made from tortoise shell is called tortoise shell glue, and the glue made from turtle shell is called turtle shell glue.

(2) Decoction to obtain glue juice: Place the processed tortoise shell or turtle shell in a copper pot, add water to cover the surface, heat over a low fire, keep it slightly boiling for 1-2 days, and pour out the decoction. Decoction 3-5 times in total until the glue juice is fully extracted.

(3) Filter and clarify. Collect the glue solution extracted each time and filter to remove precipitated impurities. Filter with a fine sieve first, then with cotton wool, and add alum in batches, stir evenly, let it stand and settle before filtering.

(4) Concentration and collection of glue Put the clarified glue in a copper pot and heat it over a low fire to concentrate it, stirring constantly to prevent it from coking. When the glue does not penetrate the paper, add a certain amount of rock sugar, rice wine and vegetable oil to mix it evenly without showing oil spots. After it is concentrated to a viscous state, collect the glue and pour it into a gel tray to let it condense naturally. In order to accelerate the solidification of the glue, 5% to 10% of donkey-hide gelatin is also added to help the tortoise shell glue or turtle shell glue solidify.

(5) Slicing and Drying Take out the solidified rubber block, cut it into small pieces with a rubber cutter, and package it after drying.

Preparation of test solution Take the fine powder of the product, mix well, accurately weigh about 0.5g, add 25ml of methanol, and ultrasonically treat (power 250W, frequency 40KHz)

After 45 minutes, filter, evaporate the filtrate, add 5ml of ether to wash the residue, and discard the ether; after the residue is evaporated, use 5ml of 0.02mol/L HCl to dissolve the residue in portions and transfer it to a 10ml volumetric flask, add 2ml of 0.6mol/L sodium hydroxide, hydrolyze in a 85℃ water bath for 60 minutes, and then add 2ml of 1mg/ml 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (dissolved in 2mol/L hydrochloric acid), and continue to react at 85℃ for 20 minutes; after the solution is cooled to room temperature, add 0.02mol/L hydrochloric acid to the scale, shake well, and you have it.

Raise large earthworms and dry them for use as Chinese medicinal materials. You can also sell them to Chinese medicine stores.

First dry it in the sun and then put it on dry rubble. Prepare it with fire but don't burn it. Just grind it into pieces.
