Spiders have no odor and no diseases that could affect us.

In fact, regardless of gender, most people have some fear of spiders, so there are not many people who keep them as pets. Of course, with the changes of the times, the number of people who keep spiders as pets is gradually increasing. Although spiders may make people feel scared for no reason, it has to be admitted that the colors of many spiders are indeed quite beautiful. And keeping spiders as pets is relatively less troublesome than keeping cats and dogs.

Compared with other pets, keeping spiders has many advantages

1. Quiet, quiet, clean, and odorless. No matter how quiet cats and dogs are, they will make noises, but spiders don't make any noise. In addition, pet spiders have no smell due to their special digestive structure and excretion. Their feces are a white powder that quickly dissolves in the soil. Pet spiders usually excrete once a week or more, so they are very clean.

2. It will not affect the health of the owner. Pet cats and dogs will carry rabies virus to some extent, and they have many harmful bacteria. Pet mice (hamsters, chinchillas, lop-eared rabbits) not only smell bad, but may also carry dangerous plague viruses. Pet spiders, on the other hand, have a chitinous epidermis, which is similar to the structure of our human fingernails. They will not have any viruses, let alone transmit diseases to us. Simply put, human diseases such as influenza have no effect on lower creatures such as pet spiders.

3. It does not require the owner to spend too much energy. Pet spiders have strong resistance to hunger and thirst. Even if the owners are not at home for something, they can leave them alone for a week or longer without taking care of them. Some large spiders can go without food for half a year, and small larvae can survive for half a month. Therefore, spiders are indeed lazy pets. You only need to feed them once every few weeks and spray them with water once every few days.

It is not very expensive to keep spiders.

4. Relatively cheap. Simple breeding equipment, extremely long lifespan. Pet spiders are much cheaper than other pets (of course, the more expensive ones are not cheap either). Low-end pet spiders only cost a few dozen yuan, which can be said to be a price that is acceptable to the public. The breeding equipment for pet spiders is also relatively simple. You only need a simple transparent box or even a bottle fish tank (with a lid), plus a small bag of coconut soil that can be recycled forever, and put it under the tank. Female pet spiders have a lifespan of more than ten to twenty years. Some world records have reached 40 years, and this record is constantly being broken.

5. You can collect different species. There are also many species of dogs and cats, but if you buy too many, it will be a big expense. However, pet spiders are different. You can have one or more spiders on top of a pet spider, and you don’t have to worry about not being able to take care of them. As long as you spend a little time, you can still take good care of each spider. And being able to collect different spiders is indeed an exciting thing.

6. Lower cost of keeping spiders. Some owners may be more particular and pay more attention to the landscaping of spiders’ lives, so they may spend money on this aspect, but in other aspects, the cost of keeping spiders is much lower than that of many pets.

4. It is not recommended to keep spiders if you don’t like them. If you like these small animals, you can keep some more docile species. It is not recommended to keep spiders with highly poisonous properties.
