The living habits of Mantis shrimp are different from those of other shrimps. They all live in the deep sea and will only swim to waters of hundreds of meters when they enter the breeding season. If the environment and water quality do not meet the standards, the Mantis shrimps will be very fragile and basically difficult to survive!

Even if the breeding is successful, you must be extra careful in transportation. After the mantis shrimp is caught, if it is not properly kept, the head and tail of the mantis shrimp will turn black in about 40 hours, and then the body will also turn black. Such mantis shrimp cannot be sold at all.

There is another reason why it is difficult to breed mantis shrimp, that is, the mantis shrimp is too ferocious. It has a pair of powerful weapons, two predatory appendages in front of the body. When the appendages attack the enemy, the speed can reach the shooting speed of a .22 caliber rifle bullet. It is simply a "warrior" in the water. Under this powerful lethality, the shells of crabs and oysters will all be blasted to pieces. At this time, the mantis shrimp will crawl over and leisurely eat the remaining meat. Such a powerful lethality makes many people afraid. To breed mantis shrimp, ordinary glass may not work. At least you need tempered glass, which is too expensive!

How to temporarily raise shrimp:

1. [Temperature] Of course, the temperature for the survival of mantis shrimp must be suitable, otherwise the mantis shrimp will easily die. Generally, the water temperature controlled at around 18 degrees is suitable for the survival of mantis shrimp.

2. [Salt] Mantis shrimp is a creature that lives in salt water, so it cannot be raised in fresh water. The salt content should be kept similar to that of seawater. Of course, it is better to use seawater directly.

3. [Change water] Keep the water clean every day. Generally, it is more appropriate to change one-third of the water in the entire water body every day.

4. [Food] If you don’t feed it for too long, there is no need to feed it. If you want to feed some sandworms, shrimps, etc. as food, you can feed it for a period of time.
