What are the signs when tropical fish give birth to baby fish?

Before tropical fish give birth, they will show some pregnancy symptoms that ordinary fish have. For example, their belly will get bigger and the fetal spots will become more obvious. Every female fish has many eggs in its belly. Some of the eggs are darker in color, and when you look through the skin of the female fish, they will appear as a black spot. The more obvious the black spot is, the sooner the female fish will give birth. Before giving birth, the female fish will generally show a more impatient and rapid swimming phenomenon, its tail will often be raised, and you can observe the female fish's anus contracting. When the fetal spots are most obvious, you can lower the water temperature by about one or two degrees to help induce labor.

1. Every female fish has a black spot on its belly. If you observe carefully, you will find a small egg inside the black spot.

2. If the black spots on the female fish become larger and larger (her belly becomes larger and larger) after successful fertilization, it means that the fry are developing.

3. Generally, the small fish will be born after 28 to 30 days.

4. When the mother fish is about to give birth, she may swim quickly or stay still. The most obvious sign is that you can fish out and separate the fry as soon as you see a bulge at the anus of the mother fish. The mother fish has the habit of eating the fry, so remember to separate them after giving birth.
