How often should I change the water for goldfish?

Goldfish can be said to be the earliest ornamental fish raised in our country. Although the history of raising goldfish is very long, not everyone has raised goldfish, and the methods of raising goldfish are not very clear. So how often should the water for raising goldfish be changed? Let's take a look with the editor today for your reference.

When raising goldfish, change the water every 7-10 days. In spring and autumn, change it every 7 days, in summer, change it every 3-4 days, and in winter, change it every 15 days.

The time and frequency of changing the water for goldfish should be determined according to the weather conditions. Change the water when the weather is clear, when the air temperature is relatively stable and the fish can adapt. Change the water in clear weather, but avoid changing the water for goldfish at noon when the sun is shining brightly.

After planning the time and frequency of water changes, prepare the water in advance. If you have just connected tap water, let it air dry for 24 hours before use. If you use well water, let it air dry for 24 hours in advance.

The amount of water to be changed should also be determined by the water quality. If the excrement of the fish in the fish tank can be salvaged, 1/10 of the water should be changed. If it cannot be salvaged, 1/3 of the water should be changed. Every day, just use a hose to gently suck out 1/10-1/5 of the excrement and dirt at the bottom of the fish tank along with the stale water, and remove the dust and floating excrement on the water surface.
