There are many ways to catch freshwater crayfish. They can be caught with shrimp cages, ground cage nets, hand nets, shrimp traps and other tools, or they can be caught with fishing rods or drag nets, and finally caught in dry ponds. From mid-March to early July, shrimp cages and ground cage nets are used for catching, which has a better effect. There are various styles of shrimp cages and ground cages. The common ones in my country are closed soft pool cages made of mesh and closed small shrimp cages made of bamboo. Crayfish cannot come out after entering through the entrance, and the slipknot must be manually untied to open the opening and pour the crayfish out. The United States often uses metal mesh to make open shrimp cages. The circular opening of the shrimp cage is made of smooth plastic, which is exposed to the water. Freshwater crayfish that enter the shrimp cage cannot climb out of the smooth plastic opening. Shrimp cages of different sizes can catch crayfish of different sizes. When harvesting, the shrimp catcher only needs to lift the shrimp cage out of the water and pour the crayfish into the container.

As for bait, just feed it the kind that scares people.
