How to raise tropical fish?

How to breed tropical fish:

Water source selection: mineral water, dechlorinated tap water, remember not to use purified water! There are two ways to quickly dechlorinate: dechlorinate by boiling water; and dechlorinate with sodium thiosulfate (Haibo).

Water cultivation: Pour water into the aquarium, turn on the filter and light, and add nitrifying bacteria (one bottle cap for a small aquarium). Generally, you can buy fish for breeding after cultivating the water for a week.

Choosing fish: First, check the feeding methods and mixed breeding requirements of related fish on the Internet, provide the seller with the area of the aquarium and ask the seller for the most suitable number of fish to be raised. Choosing fish depends on luck. Some fish are very lively in the store but die after one day at home.

Pour the fish: The oxygenated fiber you buy home is made of, so don’t pour it directly into the aquarium. Put it in the aquarium with the packaging. Open the fish after 20-25 minutes. Let the air out little by little, don’t let it out all at once. Some fish will not adapt and become sick and die. Pour it slowly into the aquarium after opening it, and stop feeding the fish for 2 days before feeding.

Feeding: small amounts, multiple times, and at fixed times.

Water change: Each time you change water of the same temperature, the amount of new water should not exceed 1/3 of the total volume of the original water. Nitrifying bacteria should be added each time you change the water.

Oxygen: Generally, a filter pump is enough. The oxygen pump we usually call is not a real oxygen pump. It just mobilizes the surrounding water to make the dead water alive. So the filter pump is enough to make the dead water flow, but when there is a power outage, a battery-powered oxygen pump is needed to replace it to make the water flow.

How to breed tropical fish: When breeding tropical fish, they need to be provided with suitable breeding space and need to be fed regularly; Note: Tropical fish have strict requirements on water quality and are particularly sensitive to temperature changes. Most of them can adapt to water temperatures of 20-30 degrees. It is difficult for most tropical fish to survive outside this range.

Tropical fish are born in tropical waters. Tropical fish are divided into freshwater tropical fish and saltwater tropical fish.

Tropical fish are mainly found in Southeast Asia, Central America, South America and Africa. Among them, the Amazon River system in South America produces the most species and the most beautiful shapes, such as the Angelfish, which is known as the queen of tropical fish. There are also many species of tropical fish in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and other countries.

How to raise tropical fish for beginners

Tropical fish breeding methods:

1. The fish tank should be kept away from direct sunlight for a long time, otherwise blue-green or blue-black low-grade algae will grow on the wall and bottom of the fish tank. When the weather is clear, the window curtains should be drawn, or green transparent paper should be used to block the sunlight shining on the fish tank.

2. The water temperature for tropical fish is preferably between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Most tropical fish are very sensitive to water temperature. If the water temperature changes by more than 2 degrees Celsius, they will catch a cold. If the water temperature fluctuates up and down for a long time, the fish will suffer from various diseases. Try to keep the water temperature constant.

3. The lighting equipment for tropical fish is mainly fluorescent lamps, in addition there are halogen lamps, mercury lamps, etc.

4. Most tropical fish feed mainly on animal baits such as fish worms, water earthworms, fiber worms, mealworms, small live fish, etc. Small species mostly feed mainly on granular feeds.

5. The amount of feeding for tropical fish should be determined according to the size and quantity of the fish. For tropical fish raised at home, feeding is required 1 to 2 times a day.

6. Tropical fish have higher requirements on water quality. When raising tropical fish, you must use a slightly larger fish tank. Most tropical fish adapt to a pH value between 6.0 and 8.0. The larger the fish tank, the more stable the pH value of the water.
