1. Choice of sea area

The selection of sea area for cage culture of golden pomfret is very important. Golden pomfret is a warm water fish, and the best sea area is the sea area south of Huidong, Guangdong (including Huidong). The bottom of the cage should be about 1.5 meters from the seabed at the lowest tide level, with calm wind and waves and convenient transportation.

2. Stocking specifications and density

During the breeding stage, in order to harvest and sell the fry about 6 cm in length as soon as possible, the number of fry can be 40 to 50 per cubic meter of water. If there is no rush to harvest, the breeding density can be appropriately increased.

3. Daily management

(1) There are two main types of bait: fresh fish and artificial compound feed. Because the mouth of golden pomfret is small, the fresh fish must be fresh and minced to prevent fish bones from getting stuck in the throat and starving to death. From June to August, the daily feed amount is more than 20% of the fish's body weight, and it is fed twice a day. At other times, the feed amount can be appropriately reduced according to the situation. In order to accelerate the growth rate, the daily feed amount can be increased to about 40% of the fish's body weight, and the number of feedings can be increased to 3 to 4 or even 5 times. Compound feed can be fed according to the instructions.

(2) Safety inspection To prevent fish from escaping, the net cages should be inspected regularly. After a typhoon, check whether the net cages have been damaged or whether any fish have escaped.

(3) Eliminate attachments to the cages. When the cages have been in the sea for a period of time, any fouling organisms that attach to the cages must be removed promptly.

(4) Record keeping and data accumulation are important tasks for improving fish farming techniques. Every day, detailed records must be kept of water temperature, salinity, fish feeding conditions, dead fish, weather changes, fish diseases, etc.

4. Disease prevention and treatment

Fish disease is an important factor affecting the survival rate of golden pomfret. Due to the high density of cage culture, once the fish are sick, cross infection will occur quickly, the disease is difficult to control, and it is easy to cause mass death. Prevention is better than cure, and prevention is particularly important. Therefore, prevention should be done well in normal times, and fish diseases should be treated in time when they are found.

How to prevent workers from stealing?
