1. How many earthworms can one acre of land produce? Each earthworm can produce about 10 new earthworms each year. 2. How much can one acre of land produce annually by breeding earthworms? This depends on the climate, management methods, stocking density and many other factors in your breeding area. The outdoor breeding season in Northeast China starts from the end of April to mid-October, with a breeding time of about 6 to 7 months each year. The normal breeding volume is one catty to eight catties per year. If the breeding density per mu reaches the maximum, it is at most 1,500 to 2,000 catties. If there are more, some will escape. 3. How many offspring can an earthworm give birth to at one time? There are about 70 to 120 nests, each with 3 to 8 eggs, and they hatch in about a week. 4. How many kilograms of ground dragon per acre of landThe seeds of the earthworm will produce results in the fourth year, while the rhizome propagation will allow for harvesting in the third year. The yield per mu during the harvest period can reach about 4,000 to 5,000 kilograms, with an annual income of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan, or an average annual income of more than 10,000 yuan per mu. After deducting costs, the net profit can be 6,000 to 7,000 yuan, which is 10 to 20 times the income from growing ordinary grain crops. The economic benefits are considerable. Cultivation method of ground dragon 1. Site selection and land preparation Loose, fertile, well-drained sandy loam or black soil should be selected, and it is better to plant on a gentle slope or terrace. When preparing the land, apply 3,000 to 4,000 kg of organic fertilizer (preferably manure) per mu as base fertilizer, rotary tillage, ploughing to a depth of 20 to 25 cm, harrow and level it to make a bed, with a width of 1.2m to 1.5m and a height of 15cm. Leave a 20 to 25cm aisle between the beds (the ground can be shallower if it is permeable, and deeper if it is impermeable). 2. Sowing Before sowing, the seeds must be treated with low temperature to break the dormancy of the seeds and increase the germination rate. Therefore, in early February, the seeds are mixed with fine sand and placed in an indoor environment below 10 degrees for 7-10 days, and then buried in a pit for freezing. Sowing can be done after the Qingming Festival. The method of row sowing is adopted. The furrows are opened on the bed surface with a spacing of 10 cm. The seeds are evenly scattered into the furrows, covered with 2 cm branches, and watered after a little pressure. Keep the soil moist until the seedlings emerge. After watering, you can also cover with grass to keep warm and moist, and remove it when the seedlings emerge. The rice straw is about 5 cm, and about 3 kg of seeds are used per mu when sowing. 3. Field Management 1. Weeding After transplanting, manual weeding should be carried out in time when the seedlings are 5cm tall. Weeding should be done more than 3 times a year, especially in the seedling stage to ensure that the grass does not bully the seedlings. Chemical weed control is in the trial stage, mainly to screen out the best formula. First of all, we need to understand what kind of weeds are in the field. For grass weeds, use Jingwenshate and Hecaoke; for broad-leaved weeds, use Nabujing, which has a better effect. At present, the county agricultural science station has developed the Agricultural Science No. 1 herbicide, which has good comprehensive weed control effect, no residue, and is very practical. 2. Scaffolding When the seedling height is more than 10cm, artificial trellises should be built. Interplanting groundworms with corn is to use corn as a companion plant, provide shade and trellises for groundworms, save trellises and labor, and achieve the goal of harvesting both grain and medicine. However, when groundworms grow vigorously in the second year, corn may not be able to climb up. The trellises should be added in time (usually a row of trellises is inserted in the middle) to ensure that groundworms can climb to the top and have good ventilation and light transmission conditions, so that they can better bloom and bear fruit. Overly dense, overly long, and overly thin stems can be appropriately cut off. 3. Topdressing The principle is to avoid quick-acting nitrogen fertilizers as much as possible, and to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers more heavily, with emphasis on foliar topdressing. Plants aged 2 to 3 years grow rapidly, and need to be topdressed in batches. It is best to apply 2,000 kg of organic fertilizer per mu, or 7 to 8 kg of diammonium phosphate per mu to meet their growth and development needs; during the growth period of branches and vines, foliar fertilization can be carried out, and foliar spraying can be used with "Potassium dihydrogen phosphate" plus urea. When the ground dragon grows luxuriantly, spray dwarfing agent, and when it grows thin, apply "Potassium dihydrogen phosphate" on the leaves. 4. Drainage and irrigation water When the seedlings are dry, they should be watered in time. There is a lot of rain in July and August, so ditches should be dug in time to drain water from the fields to prevent root rot. 5. Harvesting and Processing The ground dragon can be harvested in the fourth to fifth year after sowing, and the rhizomes can be harvested in the third to fourth year. It can be harvested in autumn or spring, but spring is better (high saponin content). The processing mainly involves removing the residual bark and fibrous roots, cutting into inch-long sections, drying in the sun or on a kang, and then selling. The best quality is the one with thick roots, firm texture, and sufficient powder. |
