CATDOLL: Is it normal for moray eels to breathe with big gulps?

1. Is it normal for sea eels to breathe with big gulps?

Normally, when the water temperature is low, the eel's breathing depth increases, and its water filtration ability is enhanced. When breathing, it usually breathes with one gill, and the other gill is not open. However, in eel farming and production, due to the infection of the eel's gills, internal adhesion, it is not easy to open when breathing, or one side of the gills is infected, and the degree of opening of the gills on both sides is inconsistent. This is a disease that often occurs when the water temperature is high. Therefore, it is necessary to pay close attention to management and strictly distinguish. Within the suitable temperature range, the demand for dissolved oxygen of eels gradually increases with the increase of temperature. The oxygen consumption of eels is also closely related to the size and state of the individual. The larger the individual, the more oxygen it consumes, and the smaller the individual, the less oxygen it consumes; the oxygen consumption is less in a quiet state, and the oxygen consumption is more in an excited state. This has important guiding significance for eel farming.

2. What are the effects and taboos of eel

1. Eel is rich in nutrients and is suitable for people with long-term illness, weakness, and anemia. It has the effect of replenishing the body and nourishing the blood. The DHA and EPA it contains can not only promote brain development, improve brain function, but also protect blood vessels and prevent cardiovascular diseases. It contains vitamin A and vitamin E, which can protect the liver, protect the eyes, and improve vision.

2. People who are allergic to aquatic products, have chronic diseases, have weak spleen and kidney after illness, have diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, or have cough with phlegm should not eat eels. Moreover, eels should not be eaten with vinegar as it will cause poisoning.

3. What is the nutritional value of eel? Who is suitable for eating eel?

Nutritional value of eel

1. Eel is rich in vitamin A and vitamin E, which are 60 times and 9 times higher than those in ordinary fish, respectively. Among them, vitamin A is 100 times higher than that in beef and more than 300 times higher than that in pork. Other vitamins such as vitamin B1 and vitamin B2 are also very rich.

2. Eel meat is rich in high-quality protein and various essential amino acids for the human body. The phospholipids it contains are essential nutrients for brain cells. In addition, eels also contain DHA and EPA, which are commonly known as "brain gold", and the content is higher than other seafood and meat.

3. Eel also contains a large amount of calcium, and its skin and meat are rich in collagen.

Suitable for people

1.It is suitable for adults.

2. Especially suitable for the elderly, the weak and young couples.

3. Suitable for people who are weak due to long-term illness, deficiency of the five internal organs, anemia, night blindness, tuberculosis, women with leucorrhea, children with malnutrition, children with ascariasis, as well as patients with hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse.

Taboo group

People with chronic diseases and a history of allergies to aquatic products, weak spleen and kidney after illness, cough with excessive sputum, and diarrhea due to spleen deficiency should avoid eating it.

Applicable amount

30 to 50 grams each time. Although eels are good, they should not be eaten in excess, otherwise they will not only be difficult to digest, but may also trigger old illnesses.

Suitable for matching

1. Eel and tofu, increase protein absorption

2. Boiling water chestnuts and eels together in soup has the effects of nourishing the liver, improving eyesight, clearing away heat and detoxifying, and beautifying the eyes.

3. Eating yam and eel together can replenish qi, warm the kidney and stop diarrhea. It is especially effective for diarrhea at dawn caused by kidney deficiency.

4. Rice wine and eel: Adding some rice wine when steaming eel can have a good tonic effect on people with weak constitution and weak lungs.

Matching taboos

1. Eel and beef liver affect the absorption of nutrients.

2. Eel and lamb liver reduce the absorption of nutrients.

3. Eel should not be eaten with vinegar or ginkgo nuts.

4. Eel and licorice. Licorice contains tannins, and eating it with eel can easily cause physical discomfort.

5. Eels and anti-allergic drugs can easily cause histamine accumulation in the human body, inducing dizziness, headache, palpitations and other discomfort symptoms.

4. Why are there worms in the eel’s stomach?

The strip-shaped parasites are most likely tapeworms, which are called "腴自" or "鱼面肠" in some places. Tapeworm disease is a zoonosis. There are many types of tapeworms, such as cattle, pigs, and fish tapeworms. Fish tapeworms mostly occur in freshwater fish. If you find tapeworms in the belly of a fish, do not eat it to avoid infection with tapeworm disease.

Treatment

For the treatment of comprehensive gill diseases, it is generally necessary to kill parasites first, then treat gill fungus disease, and finally treat bacterial diseases. However, since the degree of disease occurrence in eels in different eel farms is different, some steps have to be appropriately chosen in the entire treatment process below.

1. Treating bacteria

When it is determined through microscopic examination or the number of dead eels after medication that branchial fungus is no longer the main pathogen, the bacteria can be treated. First, "Pulecon" (10% florfenicol) 7g/㎥ is used for two consecutive baths, each for 24 hours;

Finally, "povidone-iodine" or other iodine preparations are used for two consecutive baths to prevent secondary infection by pathogens.

During the whole treatment process, if the eels have an appetite, it is best to continue feeding, but the daily feeding rate should be controlled between 1.0% and 1.2%. At the same time, add "Vc" 1.5g/kg, "Ve" 1g/kg, "Isatis Root Granule" 5g/kg when mixing the feed. Each sewage discharge should be thoroughly drained. The dead eels in the pond should be removed in time.

In eel farming, it is inevitable that eels will get sick. Timely and correct diagnosis of symptoms and identification of pathogens are the key to treating diseases. As for the popular eel complex gill disease, some eel farms that used the above method for treatment have achieved very obvious results.

2. Parasitic infection

Cut pieces of diseased eel gills to make glass slides, and examine them under a low-power microscope. If there are more than 5 Dactylopidae or more than 10 Wheelworms in one field of view, the parasites must be dealt with first.

(1) Ringworm:

Use "potassium permanganate" 1.5g/m³ for 2 to 3 hours;

Then do a large amount of water change (more than 80%);

Then use "Mie Ruwang" (Wuhan) 0.5g/m³ + "Compound Tobacco" 1.2g/m³, and continue the medicated bath for more than 36 hours.

If there are more larvae of Dactylopius, use "AEZ-Insect Killer" (Wuxi) 0.5g/m³ + "Deosan" (Xiamen) 0.6g/m³ for continuous medicated bath for more than 36 hours.

If the eel is extremely weak during the severe stage of the disease, use 1.8g/m³ of "potassium permanganate" or 3g/m³ of "insecticide" (Chengdu) for continuous bathing for more than 36 hours.

During the period of insecticide treatment, the number of eel deaths may increase slightly, but the treatment is very beneficial for the subsequent treatment. In addition, the usual treatment of ringworms requires more than 72 hours of medicated bathing, but considering the main cause of eel death, after 36 hours of medicated bathing, if the number of ringworms is appropriately reduced or controlled, the subsequent gill mold treatment can be carried out.

(2) Wheelworms:

Use "potassium permanganate" 1.5g/m³ for medicated bath for 2 to 3 hours.

Then do a large amount of water change (more than 80%);

Then use "Blue Angel" or "Angel Blue" (complex copper) 1.5g/m³ + "Baichongsha" (formaldehyde concentrated solution) 1.5g/m³ for continuous medicated bath for 24 hours.

3. Treatment of gill fungus

First, bathe in a solution of 1‰ salt + 1‰ baking soda + 2.5g/m³ methylene blue for 2 consecutive days, then change the water in large quantities.

Secondly, "Blue Angel" or "Angel Blue" 1.5g/m³ + "Virus Net" (single-chain quaternary ammonium salt) 1.5g/m³ for 2 consecutive days (change the water and replenish the medicine on the middle day), (it is best to use these two medicines in the morning on a sunny day);

Finally, apply "Antekang" (double-chain quaternary ammonium salt) 0.7g/m³ medicated bath 2 to 3 times, each time for 24 hours.

If the eel recovers significantly, you can consider using 2.5g/m³ of "methylene blue" for another 2-3 days, or repeat the above process. In addition, in the treatment of eel diseases, some eel farms actually have branchial fungus as the main pathogen in addition to parasites. If you keep treating branchial fungus, the eels will recover completely.

The strip-shaped parasites found in the stomach are most likely tapeworms, which are called "腴自" or "鱼面肠" in some places. Tapeworm disease is a zoonosis. There are many types of tapeworms, such as cattle, pigs, and fish tapeworms. Fish tapeworms mostly occur in freshwater fish. When you find tapeworms in the belly of a fish, do not eat it to avoid infection with tapeworm disease.

Of course you can eat it, provided that the fish is thoroughly cooked. When I was a kid, I saw my mother cleaning chicken intestines and found the worms you described. I was terrified, but she said that as long as it was cooked, there was nothing to be afraid of. Now, for many years, there is nothing to worry about.

There are worms in people's stomachs.

There is nothing strange about having worms in the fish's stomach.

Maybe there are roundworms in the stomach of the little ant~

Parasites, wash them off, be sure to wash them clean
