How to raise goldfish?

1. Maintain an appropriate stocking density. The stocking density of goldfish should be determined according to the season, container and size of the fish. Generally, when the water depth is 20-30 cm, 40-50 5 cm long goldfish or 10-20 8 cm long goldfish can be stocked per square meter of water surface. If too many fish are stocked, the oxygen in the water will be consumed quickly, and too much excrement and CO2 will accumulate, which is not conducive to the survival of the fish.

2. Feed fish appropriately. The best bait is water fleas (or fish worms), which can also be replaced by rice grains, bread crumbs, and steamed bread crumbs. The amount of bait should be less rather than more. The amount of bait per day is: one ball of live fish worms equivalent to the size of its head for first-year fish; one ball of live fish worms equivalent to 1/2 the size of its head for two-year-old fish.

3. Keep the water fresh. Generally, change the water every 3 to 5 days. It is best to use lake water or river water. If you use tap water, you should dry the water in the sun for 1 to 2 days to allow the chlorine in the water to escape. When changing the water, you should also clean the fish container to avoid bacteria that may cause fish diseases.

How to raise goldfish?

To keep goldfish well in winter, you should pay attention to the water, food and disease prevention of goldfish. The water for goldfish in winter is not as easy to spoil as in summer, so you don't need to change the water as often. But if you find that the goldfish floats to the surface of the water and drinks water impatiently, it means that the water in the fish tank is lacking oxygen and the goldfish is barely maintaining its life. You must replace the water with new water. After replacing the new water, you can put it in the sun for a few days, or you can leave half of the water in the fish tank and add half of the new water. The temperature difference should not be too large when changing the water. If it is too cold, you can add a little hot water. It is best to grow some water plants in the fish tank, because photosynthesis can produce oxygen.

In winter, you can feed goldfish some dried fish worms and egg yolks that were dried in the summer. Millet, sesame, fish meat, dried noodles, and steamed buns are also OK. It is best to feed them some slender earthworm-like insects. When feeding food, the amount should be increased from small to large, otherwise the goldfish may be eaten to death. In this season, the incidence rate is high due to the lack of oxygen in the water, the infection of sick fish and water with bacteria, or the stimulation of water with a large temperature difference. After the goldfish is sick, some will not eat, some will grow white mold-like substances all over their bodies, and some will have their tails and fins rot little by little. After the goldfish is sick, you can put it in new water with sufficient oxygen.
