make money. Farming technology method 1. Correct site selection The crocodile breeding base is located in Zhenshan Tourist Area, Sihui City, Guangdong Province. Zhenshan Tourist Area is the only provincial tourist scenic spot in Sihui. The entire Zhenshan Tourist Area is mainly based on tourism and ecological agriculture. Agriculture is mainly pollution-free vegetables, flowers and pollution-free aquaculture. The factory does not discharge "three wastes". The environment in the entire area is excellent, without industrial pollution, pesticide pollution and life pollution. There is sufficient water source, good water quality, fresh air and pollution-free soil. The fish ponds in the crocodile breeding base have fertile soil, sanitary environment, fresh air, and the new water injected is the mountain spring water of Zhenshan, which is absolutely pollution-free and fresh water quality, fully meeting the requirements of pollution-free and pollution-free breeding. 2. Fish pond facilities (1) Crocodiles are raised in earthen ponds with a total area of 225 mu, with each pond covering an area of 1-2 mu. The pond bottom is flat, the silt is ≤20 cm, and the water depth is 1-1.5 meters. There is a 1-meter-high wall around the pond to prevent the crocodiles from escaping and outsiders from entering. The ratio of water surface to land area within the wall is about 1:1, which is conducive to the growth of crocodiles. (2) Forage fish (tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp) are cultured in earthen ponds with a total area of 165 mu. Each pond has an area of 8-10 mu. The pond bottom is flat, the silt is ≤20 cm, and the water depth is 1.5-2 meters. 3. Crocodile species selection: The main crocodile species for breeding are Siamese crocodile, Nile crocodile and saltwater crocodile. 4. Clean and disinfect the pond. After the fish pond is dried and the bottom is exposed to the sun, use quicklime to clean and disinfect the pond and adjust the water quality before stocking. 5. Water monitoring The base has a quality control working group responsible for quality and safety monitoring. In particular, strict control measures are implemented on the environment around the base's aquaculture waters. The base's quality control team must pay close attention to whether the spraying of pesticides in the surrounding farmland, water sources, and water quality changes have harmed the base's aquaculture production. The fishery and environmental protection departments actively cooperate. Once a pollution accident is discovered, remedial measures are taken in a timely manner to prevent the impact on the base's production. We have commissioned the Guangdong Fisheries Quality Supervision and Inspection Center to conduct an "Evaluation Report on the Current Status of Environmental Quality of Pollution-free Agricultural Products Origin" on the base's water body and its surrounding environment. The report concluded that the water quality of the base's aquaculture water meets the requirements of the "Water Quality for Pollution-free Food Freshwater Aquaculture" (NY5051-2001). 6. Selection of fish fry ① Select healthy and disease-free crocodile fry that have been bred and cultivated by ourselves or imported from Thailand for stocking. ② Select healthy and disease-free tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp and other fry for stocking. 7. Stocking density: 200-300 crocodile fry with a length of 30-100 cm (3-10 kg) per mu. The stocking density of feed fish (tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp) is as usual, catching the big ones and leaving the small ones. 8. Feeding method ① All crocodiles are fed with fresh feed fish (tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp) raised by themselves, and the fish ponds are regularly filled with new water. The policy of catching the big ones and leaving the small ones is implemented. That is, if each crocodile weighs more than 30 kilograms, it will be caught and processed for sale. Those that do not meet the market standards will continue to be graded and raised. ② Tilapia, silver carp and bighead carp are mainly fed with mixed feed, corn, wheat bran, etc. They are fed scientifically, and quicklime, beneficial microorganisms and water quality improvers are used regularly. Aerators and water pumps are equipped to increase oxygen and change water. The policy of catching the big ones and leaving the small ones is implemented, that is, the ones that meet the feed specifications are provided to the crocodiles as feed, and those that do not meet the specifications are continued to be graded for breeding. 9. Daily management measures The base adopts a business model in which all crocodiles are fed with self-cultivated, fresh feed fish (tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp), with unified feed and unified management. We are responsible for training the base staff on the technical regulations for healthy crocodile breeding and production, providing technical guidance services, focusing on key links such as water quality control, seedling selection, feed use, and disease prevention and control drugs. Daily management measures include: a) Regularly monitor the water quality for aquaculture, including water source water quality every 10 days, and aquaculture pond water quality every 15 days. The NY5051-2001 standard is adopted, requiring a pH value of 7-8.5, a transparency of about 30CM, and dissolved oxygen of more than 4MG/L. The water quality of this base is sampled and tested at the water inlet and pond by the Guangdong Fisheries Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. The 12 items tested, including color, odor, taste, total coliform group, mercury, cadmium, lead, chromium, arsenic, copper, fluoride, petroleum, 666, DDD, etc., all meet the requirements of "Water Quality for Pollution-free Food Freshwater Aquaculture" (NY5051-2001). b) Production personnel should keep the "Aquaculture Production Records" to record the breeding species, seedling sources and growth conditions, feed sources and feeding conditions, water quality changes, etc., formulate scientific breeding plans, and promote the healthy growth of breeding objects. c) Proper use of fishery feed, feed additives and aquaculture drugs. All crocodiles are fed with fresh tilapia, silver carp and bighead carp raised in this base. The amount of feed is reasonably and evenly distributed according to the needs of crocodiles at different growth stages. The activities of crocodiles, changes in water quality, and the weather are observed every day to flexibly determine the amount of feed to be distributed every day, so that the crocodiles can eat well and not waste. It is forbidden to release spoiled fish meat; the use of "three-no" feed and feed additive products is prohibited in the breeding of tilapia, silver carp and bighead carp in this base. Prevent feed from spoiling and expiring; do not use banned drugs for fish disease prevention and control. Disease prevention adopts the principle of "prevention first, prevention and control combined", mainly uses biological agents, and reduces the use of chemical drugs. Comprehensive measures to prevent fish diseases include: ① Select healthy and disease-free crocodile seedlings that have passed inspection and are bred and cultivated by ourselves or imported from Thailand for release. ② Select healthy and disease-free tilapia, silver carp, bighead carp and other seedlings for stocking. Disinfect and sterilize the fry before putting them into the pond; select high-quality feed; and regularly use photosynthetic bacteria, water quality improvers and other biological agents to regulate water quality. At the same time, we adopt the method of constantly injecting new water and recycling water, that is, the crocodile pond is constantly injected with new water to ensure the freshness of the pond water. At the same time, the old water in the crocodile pond is discharged into the fish pond where tilapia, silver carp and bighead carp are raised, making full use of the aquaculture wastewater in the crocodile pond to ensure ecological balance and environmental hygiene. d) Pay attention to heat preservation during winter. Crocodiles are not cold-resistant and will stop moving when the water temperature drops to 15℃. In winter, we cover the crocodile pool with film and inject warmer water from a deep well into the pond to ensure the safety of crocodiles and other fish during the winter. At the same time, we increase the activity of crocodiles and make them eat, so that they can grow and develop in winter. Crocodile farming is relatively profitable. Except for crocodile meat, everything else is valuable. In addition, crocodiles do not have many diseases. They are just afraid of cold, but the farming technology is not yet perfect. The investment cost is very high. Moreover, crocodiles are protected in our country. Every killing requires approval. The main risk of farming is the cost of feed. Moreover, crocodiles are ferocious and can be dangerous if you are not careful. At present, Yancheng Tai'e Lake Ecological Park Co., Ltd. is relatively successful in farming. CCTV 7 has done an exclusive interview, and academicians in agriculture have also visited. I have contacted the chairman of this farm. The farming technology is based on my own experience, but the technology needs to be sublimated. You can go and have a look. For special breeding, I suggest you visit more successful places to get inspiration. Crocodile breeding prospects and market price analysis As people's living standards improve, China's demand for crocodile products continues to increase, and the development of crocodile breeding, processing and tourism industries will also be given more and more attention. In recent years, the number of units and import quantities of crocodiles imported by China has also increased. Some hotels, restaurants and restaurants have already put crocodile meat on the table as a seafood product. Therefore, as long as the competent authorities provide correct guidance, the introduction and breeding of crocodiles and the product processing industry will develop faster and better. The breeding and development of crocodiles has the following advantages: First, the cost of raising them is low. Second, they have strong reproductive capacity. Female crocodiles over 10 years old lay an average of 40 to 70 eggs per year. According to practical experience, they can produce about 40 baby crocodiles, and the female crocodile can lay eggs for decades or even hundreds of years. Third, the breeding effect is fast. Crocodile cubs only need to be raised for 3 to 5 years before they can be transformed into products for processing and utilization. Because slaughtering at this age has the lowest feed cost and the greatest economic benefit. Fourth, the economic benefits are significant. If a breeding population of more than 20 female crocodiles reproduces 40 baby crocodiles per year, the population can reproduce nearly 800 baby crocodiles per year. According to the current cost of at least RMB 20,000 per imported crocodile, the price of an adult crocodile in China is RMB 30,000 to 60,000. If it is used as a crocodile product, after 3 to 5 years of breeding, its price will be at least RMB 15,000. Excluding the cost, it can still achieve considerable economic benefits. Since crocodiles are valuable from head to toe, making full use of my country's superior natural environment, especially actively developing crocodile farming in southern provinces and autonomous regions, will have positive significance for meeting the needs of tourism, catering services, leather making, pharmaceutical industries and export earnings. With the rapid economic development, my country has become one of the most promising markets for crocodile products in the world. The introduction and breeding of crocodiles is on the rise in China and is showing a momentum of large-scale development. In order to better coordinate the relationship between crocodile protection and the healthy development of the industry, we must follow the following requirements: First, carry out domestication, breeding and commercial utilization in accordance with the law. Second, develop moderately and advance steadily. Third, vigorously introduce advanced technology to improve breeding standards. Fourth, we need to introduce advanced tanning technology and develop the processing industry. Fifth, we must focus on developing the domestic market while taking into account the international market. Sixth, strengthen collaboration. To sum up, crocodile farming is a promising business, which can not only bring good economic benefits, but also produce good social benefits. It is not easy to make money simply by raising crocodiles. It is combined with farm stays and developed into dishes to sell, which will bring higher profits. Your idea is good, but do you know the breeding techniques? Do you understand the living habits of crocodiles? Can you breed them? Can you sell them immediately? Are there any cheap feed resources nearby? They are carnivorous animals! |
