Seedling planting time

Stocking is done when the pond water temperature reaches above 10℃ in April and May, and below 22℃ in October and November. Stocking is best done in the morning or evening, and in four situations: "no stocking in rainy days, strong winds, high temperatures, or strong sunlight."

Seedling planting method

Before releasing a large number of sea cucumber seedlings, a small amount of seedlings can be released for testing. Observe for about 7 days to see if there are any abnormalities in activity and feeding before releasing a large number of seedlings. When releasing seedlings, pay attention to the temperature difference between the seedling purchase site and the pond water should not exceed 2°C, and the salinity difference should not exceed 5‰. When releasing seedlings, spread the sea cucumber seedlings evenly in the waters where the sea cucumber reefs are located, and observe the distribution, activity, feeding and survival of the sea cucumber seedlings within 3 days.

4. Water quality control

Observe the water color, water temperature, water level, salinity, pH value, bottom dissolved oxygen and algae growth in the pond on time, and carefully observe the feeding activities and stool patterns of sea cucumbers. Change the water in time according to the tide cycle and water quality. After heavy rain, the surface low-salinity water should be discharged in time. When the water temperature difference between the inside and outside of the pond is large, avoid changing the water or change the water less. In spring and autumn, the water level should be maintained at 1 m-1.5 m, and during summer and winter hibernation, the water level should be kept above 1.8 m as much as possible.
