CATDOLL: Kelp Seedling Formula

1. Kelp Seedling Formula

【Cold kelp sprouts】

1. Prepare ingredients:

1. Main ingredients:

Kelp seedlings.

2. Salad sauce:

Light soy sauce, oyster sauce, red vinegar, shredded ginger, mashed garlic, chili oil, sesame oil, etc.

At my mother's house, I didn't deliberately prepare any sauces, and everyone can adjust it according to their own tastes.

2. Operation process:

1. Prepare the salad dressing first:

Put light soy sauce, oyster sauce, red vinegar, shredded ginger, minced garlic, chili oil and sesame oil into a bowl and mix well to make a sauce.

2. Clean the kelp seedlings and cut them into inch-long pieces.

3. When the water in the pot is boiling, add the kelp seedlings and blanch them in water. Remove from the pot within 5 seconds;

Remove from the boiled water and drain.

4. Pour the prepared sauce into the kelp seedlings;

Stir well;

Serve on a plate.

It is very smooth, with a light taste of sour, spicy, sweet and salty, and the kelp seedlings themselves are fresh, it is really delicious.

Before I even start eating, my mother praises the food. This should be the common mentality of mothers all over the world. But to know whether it is really good or not, you have to try it yourself.

【Gentian and kelp seedling soup】

Gentian is suitable for stewing soup. It has thick skin and is rich in collagen. I like it very much.

Today, I am using the longan to cook two dishes at once. I steam the longan fillets with black fungus, and I use the head and middle bones of the longan to stew soup with kelp seedlings.

1. Prepare ingredients:

1. Main materials:

Gentian head, fish bones, fish tail, and some kelp seedlings.

2. Seasoning:

Ginger, angelica slices, cooking wine, salt, etc.

Today I will only write about the gentian and kelp seedling soup, while the gentian fish steamed with black fungus is another matter.

2. Operation process

1. Kill the gentian and fillet the meat. The fishmonger will do this for us.

When you get home, you just need to clean it and chop the fish bones into pieces.

2. Add oil to the pan, sauté ginger slices, add dragonfish cubes, and stir-fry to remove the fishy smell;

Add salt, a piece of angelica, and a little cooking wine;

Pour in boiling water, make sure it is boiling, and simmer for 10 minutes.

3. After 15 minutes, when the soup turns milky white, add the kelp seedlings;

Simmer for another 3 minutes and serve.

2. Does eating cultivated kelp have any effect on the body?

There is basically no wild kelp, and there is no difference between artificially cultivated kelp and wild kelp.

3. Cultivation methods of daffodils

1. Dryland cultivation method: This method is suitable for cultivation in areas with few fields and less water resources. The growth and bulb quality of daffodils are good. It can also be rotated with tulips, hyacinths and summer crops. It can not only make economical use of land, but also give full play to soil fertility. This method is used for open field cultivation abroad, and it is also often used in Zhoushan, Zhejiang and Chongming, Shanghai in my country.

(1) Land preparation and bed making: Choose a site that is sheltered from the wind and facing the sun with loose soil and a thick soil layer for the garden. Deeply plow and harrow the soil to level the topsoil and make beds 1.5m wide and 8m long (or according to the length of the site). Apply sufficient basal fertilizer.

(2) Cultivation and management: The planting period should be around the time of frost (late October). Dig trenches on the bed surface and plant the side balls, with a spacing of about 20 cm between plants, cover with soil about 5 cm, compact and level the bed surface, and cover with straw to retain moisture and prevent weed growth. After planting, irrigate thoroughly and keep the soil moist at all times. Strengthen water and fertilizer management in the following spring to keep the garden moist but not waterlogged.

(3) Harvesting and storage: Around Grain in Ear (early June), when the above-ground parts have completely withered and the leaves have completely rotted (it cannot be harvested earlier), choose a sunny day to dig up the bulbs, cut off the fibrous roots, trim the leaves, dry them in the sun, and place them in a cool place to spend the summer for flower bud differentiation. You can also wrap the bulb plate and the foot buds on both sides with mud, expose them to the sun, and store them after the mud has dried and cracked, and plant them in autumn. After three years of cultivation, they can grow into large bulbs for sale, which can be planted in the ground or grown in water for viewing.

2. Irrigation cultivation method uses rice fields to cultivate and produce daffodils. The entire cultivation process is irrigated, and the alternation of dry and wet is like the irrigation management of rice, so it is also called paddy field cultivation method. It is a unique cultivation method for producing bulbs of the famous Zhangzhou daffodils in my country. The management is relatively strict and meticulous.

(1) Land preparation: Choose a leeward and sunny soil with convenient drainage and irrigation, rich in humus, loose and well-ventilated. Plough the land in August and September, flood it with water, soak it for 1 to 2 weeks, drain the water after the soil is fully soaked, and turn it over and harrow it several times. In Zhangzhou, there is a saying that "plow seven times and harrow eight times", which means that the soil must be plowed thoroughly and harrowed thoroughly. Then plow the furrows into ridges. After the soil is fully dried, break up the soil and level the ridge surface. Then turn the ridges up and down to make it loose. Apply 600 to 900 kg of garbage soil and human feces and urine per mu as base fertilizer. Then make high ridges and dig irrigation ditches around each ridge. The ditch width is 30 to 40 cm and the depth is 30 cm. The bottom of the ditch should be flat. The ridge height of the whole field should be consistent to ensure uniform drainage and irrigation.

(2) Seed selection and planting: Select healthy bulbs with small and firm bulbs and no pests and diseases. Soak them in a 40℃, 1:100 formalin solution for disinfection for 5-10 minutes. Before and after the frost (late October), dig trenches on the prepared bed surface to allow water to penetrate from the bottom of the seedlings to the bed surface. To prevent water evaporation and keep the bed surface moist, cover the bed surface with straw after 1-2 days and hang the ends of the straw into the ditch.

(3) Harvesting and storage: Plant the bulbs in autumn and dig them up in early summer of the following year. The method is the same as that of dryland cultivation.

(4) Water management: After narcissus is sown and seedlings emerge, it is autumn, with long sunshine hours, and the roots and leaves grow vigorously, requiring a large amount of water. Water should be diverted for irrigation, and the water should be drained after 2 to 3 days to keep the soil moist. Around the winter solstice, the bulbs of narcissus begin to swell, and some main buds sprout and bloom (remove them in time). Water should be irrigated in time and drained after 2 to 3 days. During the rainy weather in the following spring, the accumulated water should be drained in time, and water should be diverted for irrigation on sunny days during the spring drought. Water management before harvesting is mainly to promote ripening, and it should not be too much to prevent the bulbs from rotting.

After three years of cultivation, the narcissus bulbs with flower buds are often used for indoor hydroponics and carefully carved. They can be cultivated into various lifelike shapes. The specific method is: select large and plump bulbs, peel off the dry epidermal membrane, remove the root mulch and dead roots, so as to facilitate rapid rooting. Carve the flower and leaf bracts and trim the leaves according to the shape requirements. After carving, soak the flower head in clean water and rinse for 2 days. After soaking for 1 day, the flower head should be taken out, the mucus should be washed off, and gauze should be covered below the cut of the bulb to protect the flower head from yellowing and quickly grow roots. After carving, soaking, washing, and cotton wrapping, the narcissus flower head can be potted and water-raised, and it will bloom in about 30 days.

4. May I ask my friends, what is the difference between farmed and natural dried kelp?

Kelp is the same whether it is wild or cultivated. Its artificial cultivation is different from some other artificial cultivation methods that use chemical fertilizers, etc. Instead, the kelp seedlings are attached to small rocks, tied with ropes and hung in the bay where the wind and waves are small, allowing them to grow freely. When the ropes are pulled up, it is harvested. Therefore, its growth environment is better than that of wild ones, and therefore it grows better.

There are five things to pay attention to when choosing kelp:

1. When you buy dried kelp, be sure to open the kelp roll to see if the kelp is complete and the leaves are thick. If the kelp is small and broken, don't buy it.

2. Check whether there are small holes or large areas of damage on the kelp. If so, it means that the kelp has been infested by insects or has become moldy and deteriorated during long-term storage.

3. There is a layer of white powder on the surface of the kelp, which is an important sign of good kelp. If there is no white powder or very little white powder on it, it means it is old product and you'd better not buy it.

4. When choosing dried kelp, first check whether there is white powder on its surface, because kelp is the food with the highest iodine content, and it also contains a precious nutritional medicine - mannitol.

5. Be cautious when buying kelp with abnormal colors. If the water after washing the kelp has an abnormal color after you buy it home, you should stop using it to avoid affecting your health.
