CATDOLL: What to do if your Birman cat doesn't have enough milk
What to do if a Birman cat does not have enough milk? When a mother cat does not have enough milk, it cannot meet the growth needs of the kittens. At this time, the mother cat should be stimulated to lactate, or the kittens should be fed with kitten milk powder in time to supplement the nutrients needed by their bodies. Lactation can be stimulated by hormones, Chinese medicine, goat milk or eggs. If there is no milk, kitten milk powder can be used instead. Birman cats can be treated by hormone injections. Hormone treatment: inject 3 to 4 units of oxytocin into the mother cat's muscle once a day for 3 to 4 consecutive days.

The Burmese cat can use Chinese medicine to stimulate lactation if it has insufficient milk. Take it according to the doctor's advice. The Chinese medicine for stimulating lactation is 20 grams of Buliuxing, 10 grams of Tongcao, a pair of pig's trotters, boil them, add 50 grams of brown sugar, and 25 milliliters of rice wine, feed the cat once a day for 3 to 5 days.

If the Birman cat does not have enough milk, you can supplement it with food. Feed the mother cat with protein-rich soup. Use 100-150 grams of small crucian carp to make soup, feed it to the mother cat in two meals, and feed it for 1 week. Mash 100-150 grams of rice into shrimp paste, add water and boil it, add 50 grams of rice wine, and feed it to the mother cat once a day for 3-5 days. If the Birman cat does not have enough milk, you can feed it with goat milk. Feed the mother cat with cow milk, goat milk or eggs, add water or soy milk, and paste it into a thin feed. In addition to these methods, if the mother cat does not increase the milk supply, you can buy special milk powder for kittens to feed the newborn cat instead of breast milk.
