CATDOLL : Why do cats like to hold their hands in their laps?

Reasons why cats hold their hands in their tummy:

2. If a cat puts its hands in its pockets and yawns or stretches, it means that the cat is in a relaxed state.

3. When a cat is sick, it will curl up with its hands in its pockets. The owner needs to observe whether the cat is injured or sick.

4. Cats’ claws are very sensitive. To prevent their owners from touching their paw pads, cats will put their hands into their pockets.

5. When the owner wants to trim the cat's nails, the cat feels scared and wants to protect its claws, so it puts its hands in its pockets.
