CATDOLL : Do cats menstruate?

Do cats menstruate?

Cats do not experience menstruation like humans do. Female cats secrete a scent to attract males when they are in heat, rather than bleeding.

If intact female cats are not pregnant, they will periodically go into heat, which can last for several days. Spaying and neutering prevents estrus behavior and related health problems. If you notice abnormal bleeding in your cat, contact your veterinarian immediately.
