CATDOLL : What to do after your cat's blood line is cut

What to do after your cat's blood line is cut

Solution after the cat is cut to the blood line:

1. Soap

If you accidentally cut the blood line when trimming the cat's nails, you must stop the bleeding with cotton balls in time, and try to reduce the cat's movement to avoid severe bleeding. Then, hold the bleeding nail at 90 degrees with the dry soap and push it hard, so that the toenail enters the soap about 3 to 4 mm deep, and then a plug is formed to block the nail wound (if no plug is formed, you can repeat the above process and press the claw into the soap until no more blood seeps out). Generally, it will fall off by itself after a few hours, and it will be fine after that.

2. Potassium Permanganate

Take Elizabeth to exercise as little as possible, and put potassium permanganate, which is a common disinfectant at home (potassium permanganate powder can be bought at the pharmacy), on the head of a cotton swab wet with water, and quickly press the bleeding area with the cotton swab. Wait for 30 seconds. Do not let it move during the bleeding process. (If the bleeding cannot be stopped, the owner can repeat the above process and press the bleeding area with a cotton swab for 5 minutes)

3. Pet hemostatic powder

The ingredients of hemostatic powder are generally traditional Chinese medicine preparations and talcum powder, which has certain disinfection and anti-inflammatory effects. Press the hemostatic powder lightly on the bleeding area until the bleeding stops. In addition to the nails, it can also be used for minor bleeding in other places.

4. Seek medical attention promptly

If there is still a lot of bleeding at the cat's blood line after stopping the bleeding, take the cat to the pet hospital for treatment in time.
