How to raise red earthworms?Red earthworms like warmth, humidity, and air, and are afraid of vibration, touch, and light. The site selection should generally be near water sources and places where it is convenient to operate animal manure, such as gaps near villages, forests, hillsides, open spaces near reservoirs and fish ponds. When breeding red earthworms, the water content of the earthworm bed needs to reach about 30-50%. When the temperature is relatively high, it needs to be watered every day to keep it moist. The earthworm bed is 2 meters wide and the length is unlimited. The earthworm bed for large-scale breeding is 5 meters wide, with a 70-centimeter-wide walkway in the middle. The two rows of earthworm beds on both sides of the walkway are each 2 meters wide, and drainage ditches are opened. Red earthworms like to eat rotten food, so they can be artificially bred in soil containing a lot of organic fertilizer. To prepare the feed, mix livestock and poultry manure with melons, fruits, vegetable edges, leaves, straw, grass, etc. in a shallow pond of livestock manure, and you can feed the earthworms after 5 to 10 days. Earthworms prefer a temperature of around 25 degrees, at which temperature their reproductive development is the fastest. Therefore, raising them in an incubator can increase the output of earthworms. How to breed red earthworms1. Food is an important factor. If you only use loess, or if you don’t change the soil and food for a long time, the earthworms will starve to death. 2. Without oxygen, how can earthworms survive if they are kept in plastic buckets or wrapped in film for a long time? It is also for this reason that it is best to use wooden boxes. 3. Too much water. Earthworms need water, but the water cannot be too much, otherwise they will drown. 4. Earthworms need loose soil, preferably mixed with some red soil, so that the earthworms can hide in it and turn red by eating the red soil. 5. Do not expose the earthworms to the sun. Place them in a humid environment and try to avoid sunlight. 6. Check the earthworms at least once a week to see if they are lacking food or dying due to other factors, and make timely changes. |
