How do cicada larvae hatch from cicada egg branches?

The golden cicada hatches its larvae from the cicada egg branch:

1. After cicada eggs are laid in tree branches, they do not hatch first.

2. After germinating in a winter of low temperature, they will hatch when the temperature rises in the summer of the following year.

3. The hatched larvae are about the same size as ants, all white, and are called cicada ants.

4. Cicada ants burrow into the soil, find tree roots and suck sap. Two years later, on a summer night, they climb up the tree, shed their skin and emerge as adults.

How to make a simple cicada egg incubator by yourself?

1. Place the core of the plant in a plastic box that is 70 cm long, 40 cm wide and 20 cm high, and spread 5 to 10 cm thick fine dry sand on the bottom.

2. Place the egg-bearing branches in bundles vertically or horizontally on it, and continuously spray mist with a small sprayer to maintain high humidity in the air around the egg-bearing branches so that excess water droplets are absorbed by the fine sand at the bottom.

3. The hatching status of the eggs should be checked continuously. If nymphs are found to be active, the branches and fine sand can be placed in the breeding place.

The process of biological evolution, the larvae become cicadas

How to cultivate golden cicada seedlings

Plant it in autumn and winter, bury it about 1 meter underground, and it will grow up in half a year.

1. The general process is to breed cicada eggs in autumn and winter, and to hatch and breed cicadas during the Spring Festival. The eggs can be hatched from March to July every year.

2. When planting, dig a trench about 1 meter away from the roots of the trees. The trench should be 30-50 cm deep and 20 cm wide.

3. The overwintering eggs begin to hatch in mid-May of the following year. The peak hatching period is from late May to early June, and the hatching activity ends in late June. Under natural conditions, cicadas generally complete the growth of one generation in 3-5 years.
