Hunting is the process of finding the beehive of wild Chinese bees and capturing them together with the bees and the nest according to the living habits and activity patterns of wild Chinese bees. To hunt wild Chinese bees, you must first track the forage bees, and track them in the direction where the bees are most active. While tracking, pay attention to the flight routes of the bees, and pay special attention to rock cracks, tree holes, ancient tombs, etc. You can also use insect nets to capture forage bees. Tie a thin line of about 30 cm around their waists, and tie a thin white paper on the other end of the line to slow down the bees' flight speed, making them larger and easier to track. After the captured bees are released, they will immediately return to the hive due to being disturbed. The hunter can find the hive by staring at the target. To hunt wild Chinese bees, you need to prepare knives, axes, chisels, beehives, smokers, masks, beehives and other tools. Hunting is usually carried out in the evening after the bees return to the nest. For beehives that are easy to open, after opening the beehive, use a smoker to spray smoke into the nest so that the bees can be smoked and suck honey to reduce stings. After the honeycombs are exposed, slowly drive the bees into the beehive. Then cut off the honeycombs and brood combs, install and tie the combs according to the method of Chinese bees passing through the box, shake the bees into the box, cover them with a covering cloth, a secondary cover, and a large cover. On the second day, check whether there is a queen bee and the repair of the honeycombs. If the beehive is strong and cannot be chiseled open, only the bees can be collected. The method is to first seal all the exits of the beehive, leaving only a small opening, insert a glass tube into this small opening, and insert the other end into the nest door of the beehive. Put 1 to 2 honeycombs in the beehive and spray them with honey water. Then insert another tube into the hive and drip an appropriate amount of carbolic acid from the tube into the hive. Stimulated by carbolic acid, the bees crawl into the hive through the glass tube. At this time, pay attention to whether the queen bee crawls into the hive with the bees. If there is no carbolic acid, you can also use wormwood smoke to fumigate the bees to make them leave the hive and crawl into the hive. |
