How to keep the crabs you bought alive How to keep the crabs you bought alive

1. Feeding management of crabs. River crabs like to eat fresh ingredients. For this reason, in daily feeding management, it is forbidden to use feeds that have been stored for a long time and deteriorated. At this stage, meat feed should still be the main feed, and some nutritious vegetarian food should be used in moderation, especially more plant feed, so as to ensure good water quality in the pond. The number of times the feed is used should be determined according to the changes in climate temperature. In the hot summer, feeding 1 to 2 times is sufficient. The specific amount depends on the weight of the river crab. If there are any uneaten residues, they should be salvaged immediately to avoid deterioration and affect the water quality.

2. For crab breeding management, strengthen daily feeding management, and implement daily inspections. Inspect at least 1 to 2 times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, and pay attention to the foraging of river crabs. When abnormal conditions occur, check immediately for the presence of diseases, and actively use symptomatic medication to avoid the spread of infectious diseases that affect breeding benefits. With the increase in the number of breeding, water hypoxia often occurs, and water changes and oxygenation should be done in time to reduce the high mortality rate caused by hypoxia. In addition, the pond should be checked for leaks, and prevention should be done to prevent the invasion of natural enemies and avoid escape.

3. Disinfection and management of crabs, remove germs and bacteria in the pond, and create a good breeding environment for healthy river crab breeding. Pond disinfection management should be done before and after breeding. Before the young crabs enter the pond, they should be disinfected in advance, and the silt in the pond should be cleaned in winter and late winter. During the breeding management process, the disinfectant selected should be low in toxicity and fast in volatility to avoid environmental damage caused by disinfection.

How to breed hairy crabs?

The hairy crab is a high-grade, high-nutrition, high-economic-value aquatic product. September every year is the season when the hairy crab is mature and plump. The female crab is plump, the crab roe is plump, the meat is tender and delicious, and you will never get tired of eating it! How can you raise a big and plump hairy crab? This still requires certain technical requirements, and you should focus on the following points: hairy crab farming 1. The choice of breeding site. The site is best to choose a pond with a quiet environment and a source of running water. It is best to choose a natural lake wetland with no environmental pollution, lush aquatic plants, rich fish and shrimps, and this breeding environment is the best. The water surface is more than five mu, and the water depth is about 1.5 meters deep in the middle of the pond, and the surrounding shallowness is 1 to 1.2 meters. The shore is 20 to 30 centimeters. 2. Plant good aquatic plants. The aquatic plants are mainly lantern ball grass, mandarin fish grass, and water black grass floating aquatic plants. The role of water plants is to facilitate the hiding of crabs that have shed their shells and use the friction of water plants to assist in molting, so as to prevent other crabs and birds from eating soft crabs that have just molted and have no mobility. 3. The pond is surrounded by a fence. The fence is 1.8 meters high and forms a "7" shape in the pond to prevent crabs from escaping. 4. The release of crab seeds. Buy crab seeds as big as buttons and release 600 per mu at the beginning of breeding. Big and plump hairy crabs 5. A few days before the first molting of the crab and after the molting, it is necessary to release 100 catties of screws per mu. After that, screws are released before and after the crab molts for the crabs to eat. As the crabs grow, the amount of screws released should be increased accordingly. This is an important measure for the crabs to grow quickly and have uniform specifications. Other foods are released according to conventional breeding. 6. Two or three days before the crab molts, 10 catties of tea dregs are used per mu of water surface to spread evenly in the pond until the tea dregs are stopped after molting. The reason for doing this is to speed up the molting speed of the crabs and molt smoothly, so as not to cause the crabs to die during molting. Every molting of crabs is quite difficult and many crabs die during the molting process. The part of the crab shed during the molting increases in size rapidly, so if the molting is not timely, the crab will suffocate and die. Special attention should be paid to these details during the crab breeding process. If the details are well done, high-yield and large crabs can be achieved. The high-yield technology of crabs requires us to continuously observe, summarize and research to achieve it, and we must not stand still.

Many people know that raising hairy crabs is not an easy task. However, in addition to conventional pond farming of hairy crabs, there are actually many other ways to raise hairy crabs. If the management is in place, the economic benefits generated are also very good. The following editor will introduce several ways to raise hairy crabs for your reference.

1. Raising crabs on reed flats

(1) The area for breeding hairy crabs: Generally, 50-100 mu is appropriate. The larger the area, the better the specifications and quality of the commercial crabs, and the lower the cost. On the contrary, the smaller the area, the worse the specifications and quality of the crabs, and the higher the cost. However, the area should not be too large.

(2) Stocking density of hairy crabs: The pond must be cleaned and pests removed before stocking. The stocking specification requires an average of 2,500 to 3,200 crabs per mu. At the same time, depending on the water conditions, some grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp, etc. can be stocked, with an average of about 200 crabs per mu.

(3) Feeding: Mainly natural animal bait and plant bait, supplemented by artificial feeding, once a day. In the early stage, natural bait and small fish are mainly used, and in the later stage, concentrated feed is mainly used.

(4) Escape prevention: To prevent river crabs from escaping, the calcium plastic board can be fixed on the embankment with bamboo stakes. The calcium plastic board should be 90 cm high and buried 25 cm in the soil, and then partially embedded with soil.

(5) Fishing: Catch fish by draining the pond or by using light at night.

2. Cage-grown crabs

(1) Cage structure: The mesh is woven with polyethylene or galvanized iron wire, with a mesh size of 10*10mm. Wood is then used as a support to fully enclose the mesh and fix it on the support. A feeding platform is left at the mouth of the mesh. The size of the cage depends on the amount of crabs to be raised.

(2) Selection of the location for the cage: Choose a location with clear water, free from pesticide and fertilizer pollution, rich in aquatic plants and plankton, and with a relatively gentle water flow. The water depth should be appropriate so that the crabs can have a place to hide from wind and waves.

(3) Stocking density: 20-30 one-year-old crabs per square meter.

(4) Management: Same as conventional breeding methods.

3. Enclose river crabs in large waters (this method can be used in lakes, harbors and other open waters)

(1) Enclosure area: usually 0.2-3 mu.

(2) Crab stocking: The time is from March to April, the size is about 60 per kilogram and the stocking density is about 30 per square meter.

(3) Feeding: Natural bait is the main feed, snails, low-value shellfish, earthworms, etc. are fed once every 10-15 days. Wheat cakes, vegetable cakes, corn cakes and other commercial baits are fed every 2-3 days.

(4) Daily management: During the breeding process, the climbing and feeding conditions of river crabs in the enclosure should be observed regularly. Any holes found should be repaired promptly. After strong winds and waves, the wooden stakes should be checked promptly and any loose parts should be reinforced in time.

1. Put the hairy crabs in the water

The crab body cannot be completely covered. The water needs to be changed frequently. In addition, some feed is needed for a long time, otherwise the hairy crab will become thin.

2. Refrigerate

Put the hairy crab (untied) in the refrigerator's fresh-keeping layer, then take a clean towel, half-wring it dry and lay it flat on the hairy crab. The hairy crab will faint in a low-temperature environment, so it can be stored for a few days, but the longer it is stored, the worse the taste will be.
