Why is it difficult to catch mullet in October?

Habits: Mullet is a pelagic fish, lively and often jumping. It likes to live in estuaries and harbors and can enter fresh water. It is mainly distributed in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. In China, it is produced in the South China Sea, the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea.

Weight: The body length is generally 20-40CM, and the larger ones can reach 80CM and weigh up to 5KG.

Fishing grounds: near the river mouth, inner bay, and near the pier.

Fishing methods: long-distance casting, floating fishing, anchor fishing and hanging fishing.

Bait: small live shrimps, sandworms, flour balls, bread.

Fishing season: January to April, August to December.

Peak season: January-February, October-December.

Small mullets like to eat floating objects in the water. If the length of the sub-line is short, the bite frequency is significantly lower. Mullets are used to scraping moss on the riverbed. If the fish situation is good, the buoy is basically in place.

Mullet are highly swarming, and usually gather together of the same size, so the size of the fish caught is generally of average size. Mullet usually do not struggle much when they are first hooked, but they tend to go crazy when they are pulled to the surface and see people, so try to catch them all at once.

Pull out of the water. Fishing for mullet generally requires making a nest, the nest material should be fragrant and sufficient, as long as the fish are lured, they will bite continuously.

Big mullets usually do not bite the hook as quickly as small mullets, so you should adopt bottom fishing. Add shrimp powder to the bait and use the same fishing method as bottom fishing for crucian carp. Note that the mouth of mullet is relatively fragile, so don't pull too hard, otherwise, the mouth of mullet will be easily torn.
