What are the main types of stone turtles?

Under the ecological breeding model, it can reach an average of 1,000 grams after three years of breeding. It is the most expensive species in the meat market. However, the price of seeds and seedlings is relatively high, so it is suitable for family and garden breeding.

2. Fujian Stone Turtle (Big Green Head) This species grows slowly and is small in size (adult turtles weigh an average of 800 grams). Under the ecological breeding model, it can reach 600 grams after three years of breeding. Its price in the meat turtle market is slightly lower than that of Vietnamese Stone Turtle, but the price of breeding turtles and turtle seedlings of this species is relatively low, making it more suitable for breeders with less capital and large facilities.

3. Hybrid turtle (also known as Guangxi pseudo-water turtle): It is a hybrid of a male Vietnamese stone turtle and a female Fujian or Anhui stone turtle. According to information and verification, this turtle was only hybridized in 2001. Its offspring has not been found to lay eggs this year. It is estimated that there will be third-generation turtle seedlings in 2007. The growth rate of this variety is uneven. In the ecological breeding model, a few can reach 700-800 grams after three years of breeding, and most are 300-500 grams.
