CATDOLL: How to culture yellow catfish fry

The breeding method of yellow catfish fry

Pond selection: The best area for breeding ponds is 1-3 mu. There should be sufficient water sources and clean water near the pond. The silt at the bottom of the pond should be removed before stocking. Disinfection of nutrients: Sprinkle quicklime in the pond to kill bacteria and parasites in the pond. After filling the pond with water, pour 4-5 kg of "biological fertilizer water king" to cultivate natural bait. Seedling raising and stocking: After putting the fry into the pond, sprinkle soybean milk every morning and evening. When the fry grows to 2-3 cm, feed them with special feed for yellow catfish.

Snail farming technology What feed do snails eat?

Farming technology of snails:

1. Selection of snail breeding sites

The snail breeding site should be selected in a place with sufficient water source, good water quality, humus soil and convenient transportation. It is best to have running water. Breeding pond is built. The specifications of snail pond are generally 1.5-1.6 meters wide and 10-15 meters long, and can also be based on the terrain. The pond is surrounded by ridges, which are about 50 cm high. Inlet and outlet are opened at both ends of the pond, and a blocking net is installed to prevent the snails from escaping.

At the same time, aquatic plants such as茭白 are sparsely planted in the middle of the breeding pond, which not only increases the land output rate, but also creates a good ecological environment for the growth of snails.

2. Stocking quantity and feeding management

1. Stocking density of snails: Generally, 100-120 snails are stocked per square meter. At the same time, about 5 silver carp and bighead carp are stocked per square meter for the main breeding. The stocking time of snails is generally in March.

2. Fertilization and feeding: First, add some feces to the breeding pond to cultivate plankton to provide food for the snails. The amount of fertilizer depends on the fatness of the bottom of the snail pond. After the snails are put into the pond, feed them with green vegetables, rice bran, fish viscera, or vegetable cakes, bean cakes, etc. Chop the green horns and fish viscera and mix them with rice bran and other feeds before feeding. Soak the vegetable cakes, bean cakes, etc. to soften them so that they are easier for the snails to eat.

The feeding amount depends on the feeding situation of the snails. It is generally calculated as 1%-3% of the total amount of snails. Feeding is done every 2-3 days. The feeding time is every morning. The feeding location does not need to be fixed. Feed is put in every other day. When the temperature is below 15℃ or above 30℃, no feeding is needed.

3. Water quality regulation:

1) The snail pond should be frequently filled with new water to regulate the water quality, especially during the breeding season. It is best to keep the water flowing, especially in the hot season, and the effect of water culture is better. In spring and autumn, micro-flow water culture is better. The water depth of the snail pond should be kept at about 30 cm.

2) To adjust the pH of the water. When the pH value of the pool water is low, apply 0.15-0.18 kg of quicklime per square meter, once every 10-15 days, to keep the pH value of the pool water at 7-8.

4. Management of snails during winter: When the water temperature drops to 8-9℃, snails begin to hibernate. During hibernation, snails use the top of their shells to drill into the soil, leaving only a small round hole on the soil surface, from which bubbles occasionally come out to breathe. Snails do not eat during the winter, but the water depth of the breeding pond still needs to be maintained at 10-15 cm. Generally, water is exchanged every 3-4 days to maintain the appropriate oxygen content.

The activity range of wild snails is usually relatively small. How can we tell this? Its slow crawling speed, like a snail, shows this. To be precise, it is a relative of snails, but one is a landlubber and the other likes to take a bath. Since the snail crawls so slowly, it means that it will not worry about lack of food. What kind of food will not make the snail worry? There is only one possibility, that is, these foods cannot escape, or to put it nicely, they cannot escape even if they want to. Food with this characteristic can only be plants, which means that snails are mainly vegetarian, including various plankton, young water plants, etc.

Of course, we can also get proof from another aspect. Do you know that there are a lot of golden apple snails in rural areas? As a relative and neighbor of the field snail, it is also a foodie who mainly eats plants. Some people may ask, why don't you eat meat? Think about it, with the slow crawling speed of the field snail, what kind of meat can it eat? There is a lot of fish meat, but it's a pity that it can't catch up.

1. Food sources: The food sources of snails are quite extensive. In nature, snails usually feed on young aquatic plants or plankton. So farmed snails can be fed with cow dung or chicken dung, which can also promote the growth and reproduction of plankton or aquatic plants in the water, and ultimately indirectly provide more food sources for the growth of snails.

In addition, some vegetables or rotten fruits can be mashed and fed. Of course, most farmers still use wheat bran, soybean meal, and corn flour in a ratio of 6:3:1 as snail feed. The advantage is that soybean flour has a high protein content and can accelerate growth. Like other poultry feeds, snails can be fed, but the price is relatively high and it also contains a lot of soybean meal.

Don’t forget that the tofu dregs left over from making tofu are also very good feed. You can also use part of the wine grains mixed with wheat bran or soybean meal to feed together.

Note: The manure of poultry or livestock must be fermented and decomposed to kill the parasites inside before being evenly distributed for feeding.

2. Food amount: There are three types of feed that can be fed, namely fermented farm manure, some grass and concentrated feed. The so-called concentrated feed is a high-protein feed mixed with feed or soybean meal.

The amount of feed for the first snail seed breeding should be slightly more, mainly to increase the organic matter content of the water body and improve its fertility. The ratio is 250 kilograms of fermented farmyard manure, 200 kilograms of concentrated feed, and 600 kilograms of grass feed are optional per mu.

In the later stage, the daily amount of concentrated feed should be 1% of the total weight of the seedlings, and the farmyard manure should also be 1% of the first weight of the seedlings. After the snails give birth, the amount of feed can be appropriately increased according to the actual situation.

Note: The stocking amount of snail seedlings per mu ranges from 200 jin to 400 jin. This must be remembered.
